What is wrong with this guys' handlers?

He could have fought someone decent by now. Now he's probably going to fight some boring tuneup because of the ring rust.

    Danny Garcia $1.5 million
    Thurman $1.5 million
    Guerrero $1.225 million
    Broner $1.25 million
    Crawford $1.3 million
    Wilder $1.4 million

^^ Simple today's american fighters make too much money for mismatches, Networks can't just have those guys fight 3/4 per year

Seems like a strategy. Take a 7 figure payday against a C level opponent then sit out for a year. Claim you need a tuneup, earn another 7 figure payday for fighting another C level opponent. Rinse and repeat.

He fights way less than the average champion even though champions only average about two fights a year these days. He was gifted the vacant WBC title by only having to beat washed up Guerrero. He hasn't fought anybody that good since he fought Matthysse long ago. Whoever decides who he fights is cherrypicking his fights. I don't know why he is fighting such poor opponents so infrequently. I think he turned down a 4 million dollar offer to fight Pacquiao. A real champion would have said yes to that offer in my opinion. I think Thurman or Spence would have said yes to the same offer.

It sure looks like that. It seems to work for him so far. He makes lots of money safely even if he loses respect from many fans.

without his 0 he is nothing, and obviously the less you fight the less chance you have of losing that 0.

The Mayweather fight in May is probably a hindrance. Then theres the whole Khan mandatory to deal with if it ever goes through.

What disappoints me is that everyone hyping up Haymons PBC crap and deal with showtime and other channels in the US wast hat there would be many more dates and so top fighters would fight more often. Its been the opposite.

he is being preserved for floyd.

the only reason why that fight hasnt happened is because floyd might want pacquiao for his 50th fight instead of garcia.

floyd is gonna wait out pac v vargas and garcia wont be fighting any threats until he waits out on floyd's decision to fight him.
