Barely half over? What month is it where you live? It's mid August. There's 4 and a half months left in this year.
Pretty normal in today's TV world actually, not "quite inactive." And he'll fight again this year. He's already in training. So there's that.

Danny isn't inactive he's been fighting 2 times a year for the last 3-4 years like most upper echelon fighters

Since 2013 Garcias fought 7 times with another fight probably in the next month or two in that time frame. Since 2013 this is how many times other top notch fighter have fought

      Canelo 7 x
      Bradley 7x
      Manny 5x
      Santa Cruz 10x
      Chicolatito 11x
      Wilder 11x
      GGG 11x
      Kovalev 11x
      Lucas Matthysse 7x
      Porter 8x
      Thurman 8x
      Guererro 5x
      Amir 5x

Seems about avg to me, But yeah Garcias inactive
Exactly. same point I made. This is NSB so you get alot of posters that will go with anything when its someone they do not really like instead of checking the facts. greenk for this.

People act like Danny is 24 he's 28. Most guys at that age start to fight twice a year because they make enough money that they can afford to.

And this is why this sport is going down the toilet. Everyone wants big money fights for tuneup bouts, then they want to sit out for a year. Then they want to use the excuse that they need another tune-up bout because they've been inactive, meanwhile they're the ones who make themselves inactive.

Thats not the fighters all the time, thats the networks (and promoters/managers) calculating that limited appearances will boost ratings when they actually fight.

A guy like Danny should be fighting 3-4 times a year, assuming he is healthy enough.

"Why would you fight each other when you can fight a fighter like Rod Salka”? Listen to what I am saying this (Boxing) is about the BANK being LOADED it’s not about the glory"

One comment doesn't make it a rule. That is Angel's position. DOesn't mean it is every fighters trainers position.

Never said that this is the path that "every" fighter is taking, but it does seem to be the norm for most fighters these days once they reach a certain level where they start seeing 7 figure paydays.

Lets just take Broner for example. His highest purse to date was somewhere along the lines of 1.2mil, yet he turns down 4mil for a fight vs Pacquiao.

Kid Chocolate when pressed with the question if he is willing to fight GGG, he threw out some crazy number like 10mil.

BJS has turned out to be a joke and isn't willing to fight anyone with a pulse.

Pac turned down what would have been a great fight vs Crawford in favor of fighting Vargas.

Floyd closed his career fighting Berto rather than going out with a **** in a high profile fight.

Canelo turned down GGG and is fighting some guy that literally nobody cares about.

Khan refuses to fight Brook yet was willing to fight Canelo and is now looking for a fight with Connor McGregor! WTF!?

Cotto wants to come back to fight the much smaller JMM.

Boxing has become ridiculous! The only fight I care to see at this point is Ward/Kovalev.

He was waiting on Floyd apparently.

If you believe Eddie Hearn, he had contacted Garcia's team about Brook v Garcia and they said they were waiting on Floyd's next move, this was quite a few months ago so i guess they were half expecting Floyd might have been fighting in September and he would be the opponent.
