I just don't know how GGG is going to be able to keep his Mando's though in such a short amount of time??? Correct me if I'm wrong but Brook doesn't count for any mandatorys???
naw...he isnt even a middleweight so him being a mando isnt possible..I think he is trying to get permission from wba to have brook as a voluntary defense, i think.

Hearn is working with Haymon on DeGale vs Badou Jack, in the UK, possibly in Nov.

Clearly, Golovkin vs DeGale was not option for Sept after the Eubanks refused to sign with GGG. It is definitely on the cards in the not too distant future though.
        Hearn responded to DeGale's claims:
Hearn explained in full detail on the situation. He denied some of DeGale's claims, stating that there are two more fights remaining in their agreement - "We had a contract before he signed with Haymon and a new contract after he signed," Hearn said.
"We are good mates, that's first thing. We didn't have enough tickets for him for the Joshua [versus Martin] fight, because we didn't have any, and he wasn't happy so we were arguing about that," Hearn told BoxingScene.com's Declan Taylor.
"Obviously it's a different kind of setup. Al Haymon is advising him and making the decision and I'm co-promoting him. My job is to make sure that he gets on Sky. We've got two fights with him and I'm happy to do my job. As I said in an interview before, if I'm not leading the way then sometimes you cant expect me to do everything because I'm not necessarily making the decisions. I don't know how its going to work out after the contractual fights."
On Thursday, some eyebrows were raised when IBF super middleweight champion James DeGale (22-1, 14KOs) took some shots at his promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom

DeGale's been saying the Jack fight will be in Vegas. You would think the most money could be made in London, but with Jack's relationship to Floyd and a nice site-fee from the MGM, it looks like Vegas. Steve Kim then reported last week on his pod-cast, that the rumor is DeGale's asking for $5mill for the fight, probably b/c he wanted UK and now he has to settle for Jack's backyard where Floyd has some pull.

But if that fight doesn't come off by September, then the chances for a DeGale/Golovkin fight could go way up. Not sure how popular DeGale is in the UK anymore, but I have to imagine Eddie would want to get a nice big fight out of DeGale before the end of their deal.

Middleweight isnt exactly murderer's row and the only current top ten middleweight he has faced is lemieux...after he blitzes Brook, he needs to step TF up, not in weight but at least fight a top ten guy from 160
Golovkin signed to fight Chris Eubank Jnr, who is a top 10 ranked MW, on an Eddie Hearn show, and he agreed to Kell Brook instead when Eubank wouldn't sign the contract. James DeGale was never an option for him on this show.

fact is you are fighting a welterweight, and when people speak of GGG in the future during debates or conversations all these things will be taken into consideration. no one will remember excuses as to why u faced kell brook.

my point is, i know Degale was not a serious option because they dont plan on moving up anytime soon. They need to fight a top ten middleweight after brook...shYts getting embarassing for a so called p4p guy/monster

they chose the easy route because they want to pad his record until he fights canelo

they'll stick around til BJS fights him, or vacates.....hopefully he will actually fight for this belt unlike 2 he holds. He'll wait out canelo and fight people we have to google in the mean time or pull up welterwights or 154

GGG is not moving up anytime soon and its obvious
I think the point of the article is that Degale wasn't on the table, though that of course needn't have stopped Loeffler for asking for him - it would have been a much, much more significant fight.

AFAIK the plan for Degale continues to be a unification with Jack. it remains to be seen what GGG does from here in: I suspect a Eubank Jr fight is a strong possibility if the Brook fight sells well (and provided Sr winds his neck in).

And I hope you're wrong about GGG waiting on Canelo - you'd think Loeffler would have learned by now - but it's a fair likelihood of course, especially if the Canelo - Saunders speculations come to something.

Yeah, that's the same response from Hearn that I linked to. It's a weird situation. Hearn says he has a contract with DeGale but DeGale says he didn't sign anything. "He never had me. He never had a signed contract with me so it's his fault anyhow."

Maybe Hearn has a contract that only applies to Chunky's UK fights, so if he fights Jack in Vegas, Hearn will have no part in that?

I doubt it tbh.. Canelo is due a regular fight(non PPV) on HBO this year & with Saunders for a WBO MW title won't be on regular HBO, & more so because Saunders will demand upwards of 4mil $ or pounds so that's another thing..
Also, Saunders has always stated he won't drop weight to meet anyone, so Canelo if he has to face Saunders for 4mil then its at 160, it can be less than 160 I guess GBP throws more money but they cannot build the fight on regular HBO..
