It really underlines just how daft the whole situation is, this.

The guy in GGG's weight class in Eubank Jnr essentially turned it down (or his dad did).

Of all GGG's options the only ones pursued are another Matchroom UK fighter in Brook whose 2 weight classes below, or Degale a weight class above.

Bottom line making fights for ggg miust be stressful work. Since 2013 making fights for him has been didficult. I cant remember a fighter that has been avoided or just hard to get someone to fight him in a while. Regardless of what is said on this forum, his peers and commentators/writers in the sport have talked about how much talent thia guy has. That counts for something. I remeber watching him on hbo the first time and max being like, this guy is going to be something special for a long time

If DeGale/Jack isn't made by September, Jack has to fight his mandatory - Callum Smith. Hearn only has DeGale under contract for one more fight and he's been serving out the deal as a co-promoter b/c DeGale's been fighting in the US. If no DeGale/Jack and no Golovkin/Jacobs, then there'll be a big money fight possible for DeGale/Golovkin in December.

According to DeGale, he never had a contract with Hearn. Hearn refers to an "agreement" between them in his response. "Al Haymon is advising him and makes the decisions and I'm co-promoting him"

Hearn is working with Haymon on DeGale vs Badou Jack, in the UK, possibly in Nov.

Clearly, Golovkin vs DeGale was not option for Sept after the Eubanks refused to sign with GGG. It is definitely on the cards in the not too distant future though.

DeGale isn't as talented or as much of a draw is as Brook is over here in the UK but sure it would have been a good fight one I think GGG would have likely easily won.

here on planet earth a supermiddleweight titlist with talent is a bigger threat than a welterweight titlist with talent.

they chose the easy route because they want to pad his record until he fights canelo

they'll stick around til BJS fights him, or vacates.....hopefully he will actually fight for this belt unlike 2 he holds. He'll wait out canelo and fight people we have to google in the mean time or pull up welterwights or 154

Degale is better than anyone GGG has fought by a country mile....who is his best win? Never was Martin murray, who lost to every world ranked opponent he has faced, or daniel geale who got stopped by Cotto only 1 round later than GGG did it.

Middleweight isnt exactly murderer's row and the only current top ten middleweight he has faced is lemieux...after he blitzes Brook, he needs to step TF up, not in weight but at least fight a top ten guy from 160

I think Canelo is going to fight Saunders in December and then GGG on Cinco De Mayo 2017 for ALL the Belts!

I just don't know how GGG is going to be able to keep his Mando's though in such a short amount of time??? Correct me if I'm wrong but Brook doesn't count for any mandatorys???
