Broner vs Garcia (or at least a handful of fights) is a fight that, once everything gets counted, already pays each fighter $3m-$4m before any upside on the PPV.

The fact that you think it's a good deal for Broner or Garcia to make $3m, have Pacquiao make $20m, and have the event basically not lose money due to the heat that they bring themselves makes you look like a fool.
Guys weren't even making more than that to fight Mayweather. Pacquiao's not the draw he used to be either. Pacquiao/Bradley II lost alot of money. It's a stretch to think Pacquiao/Garcia(Broner) makes over $25mill.

As far as options, I highly doubt it. Arum's not telling Haymon that he's taking options on his guys.

Take away the hedge fund, and Broner & Garcia make alot less than they're currently enjoying, which is still substantially less that what's being offered on the table at the moment. On top of that, it's a major opportunity for them to become stars, which at the moment they're not. Sorry.

Arum realized that he can't do that anymore, so you're gonna see offers of ~5M for Pac fights, something like 12/5 or 15/5 at most. They're budgeting for 300K PPVs to break even.

Garcia should take it. The money is more than he's making now and it's a chance to add Manny eff'n Pacquaio to your resume. If he passes this offer, he's a complete idiot and I'll lose all the respect for him.
        lol.

Garcia likely fights Berto next in a big event (a fight he should win), has the Khan rematch in a big event (a fight he should win), and then a massive event against Thurman or Brook or Spence in a unification (which is likely 50/50).

To act as if Garcia is thirsting for opportunities at money is laughable.

Alvarez made way more than $5m on the Floyd fight.

Paquiaio's box office power has descended rather quickly. Another PPV flop could be the nail in the coffin. What's the incentive for Haymon? Doesn't take a genius to figure out why both Broner and Garcia threw the $10m number around.

But man, have times changed. Arum negotiating with Showtime, talking about good conversations he had with Haymon. And his recent tone suggests that he understands he's now bartering in a position of weakness. And for the sake of keeping his ship afloat, he'll make concessions. Boxing fans have a lot to look forward to. The union of CBS/Showtime, PBC, Schafer's Ringstar and possibly the Top Rank stable could breathe new life into the sport.

Basically what porter Thurman would get. They would fight on free tv and get 1.5 and 2 million. If they won't fight on tv and they fight right now that ppv would probably do less then 50 k.

And its very safe to say the version of Floyd is a way bigger earner than the version of Pac now.

So for Garcia to want to get 10 mill vs this earning version of pac is outragous. Garcia getting 10 mill for the version of Pac when he was at his height of the game is still overpaying him.

Haymon is overpaying Garcia to much for fighting bums, which is why he turned this offer down.
Danny Garcia brings money to the table; a ton of money, tbh.

He's young, Puerto Rican with a budding Hispanic/Latino fanbase, urban American, handsome, a world titlist, and one of the top 5 welterweights on the planet.

If Brandon Rios, in the condition that he was when he got the offer, was worth $3m as a Pacquiao opponent, Danny Garcia is easily worth twice/triple that.

Instead they're delusional like Danny Jacobs & Quillin when offered the Golovkin fight. Let these pretenders keep sitting on their *sses.
                  exactly.

you want to share a ring with a legend like pacquiao who shared a ring with a buncha legends.

get the name on your resume andy your future earning potential will skyrocket.

                  very very short sighted move....

garcia had a good chance to beat manny due to the fact that he is a strong figther with a above average counter punching skills.

                  very short sighted move.

they were probably just being used to lower vargas asking price.
