Sanchez fear you will as unfortunately that will be the case, Saunders will embarass Canelo more than Lara but the difference this time Saunders wont make it a boring fight. What i fear is that Saunders will get robbed which is "not respect for boxing."

It all depends on whether or not a fight is under contract with a network. Khan was not under contract with Showtime. Neither are Jacobs or Lara, but there's a tight relationship with Espinoza & Haymon.

Example, Lomachenko fought on Showtime vs Russell, but he's not under contract with HBO.

I believe Loma vs. Gary Russell Jr. was a purse bid won by Haymon. If Jacobs and Lara are not under contract with Showtime, what TV problems could DiBella be talking about? I say HBO!!!

Yeah Lomo/Russell was a purse won by Haymon, just like Martirosyn/Lara was a purse won by TR and brought to HBO. Showtime head - Espinoza should have no dog in this race, but he was quoted saying he hopes to avoid a network conflict.

“It doesn’t sound like Golovkin-Canelo is imminent so I know there was talk of Golovkin-Jacobs being ordered, which I think obviously is a marquee fight if that goes to a purse bid or a mandatory,” Espinoza said. “I hope we can avoid some sort of network conflict because that is I think one of the more interesting fights left at 160. I’m not sure what else there is for (Golovkin) to do at 160, given where the division as a whole is right now.”

Just the fact that Canelo could get to Saunders before lil'G does must shove a brick up Sanchez' ass.

              What is worse......

Saunders beating Canelo, therefore killing their " super-fight ".....

..... or Canelo beating Golovkin to the draw and becoming the only other legitimate belt-holder..... with the caveat that Golovkin is not the mandatory, leaving the B-side with 2 options, Canelo's way or kick rocks.

That would put Golovkin back 2 years, right back to square 1, and it would serve them right LMAO

Anyone remember Loeffler's speech about the sanctity of the middleweight division?

About how the " little guys " (Cotto/Canelo) were not real middleweights, etc...... and that middleweight would be better served if the "little guys" stayed in their respective divisions LMAO

Oh how things can change, in such a short period of time

Time will tell! I don't think network contracts have served the sport well, although it has provided the fighters much needed financial security.Hopefully the GGG vs. Jacobs fight will be ordered, and there will be a purse bid. Highest bidder should take the fight wherever they choose!

First off, a fight with Lara is BS. He'd get KO'd and nobody would give a ****. Lara brings nothing to the table.
Second of all, a fight pitting BJS vs Canelo is an insult to boxing on all levels. Canelo vacated the title because he didn't want to face his long time mandatory GGG. As I see it, it would be unethical of any boxing association, to sanction a bout with a fighter that vacated the same title from a different boxing sanctioning body simply to avoid fighting a top ranked mandatory. Why?!?!?, because Canelo would just be holding another title hostage and then,.. if he were to beat BJS for that title,.. would pull the same 'pollo-canelo' catch weight crap he's played the last year or so. That's the last thing the sport of boxing needs.
The real problem with the sport of boxing isn't the boxers, it is the greed of promotors, and the weak back-boned boxing sanctioning bodies that have continually let this behavior repeat itself. It isn't hard to see why the MMA and other such sports have taken over the popularity of combative sports. Most casual fans know more bout the mma fighters than anyone in boxing. Don't agree????? Start asking your co-worker's about the two sports and listen to what they say. Gee I wonder why???!!!???!!!
