They are not keen because they are not getting paid. GGG needs a good promoter who can deliver and people will be lining up to fight him. DOnt forget Froch, Dirrell, Lara, Ramirez and Ward wanted to fight GGG but he dodged them (not at the same time but over time). This summarises GGG's career, he is happy fighting bums or low balling those who would take the fights. How does anyone justify GGG fighting all these European level fighters he has fought?

And what do you do if you cant get big fights at your weight? You move up. Everyone at 168lbs wants to fight him so why doesnt he go up like everyone else has done? Because he only wants bums.

Not once did gb or canelo say "if ggg drops to 155 we can make the fight in september or next may". The weight demand was not even on the table since canelo and gb had zero intention to fight him this fall no matter what. Don't you think that if gb said to ggg "come down to 155 and we will fight you this fall", that team ggg would hesitate to agree? They would sign on the dotted line in less than a second! When canelo was the wbc champion, the wbc rules stipulated that he couldn't enforce a catchweight on ggg, since ggg was the mandatory challenger. After canelo vacated, there was sudden silence from gb of "come down to 155 and we will make the fight happen". Clear duck

bj saunders- offered a career high purse, turned it down claiming he wasn't compensated enough. Clear duck.

Jacobs- just recently stated on fighthype.com that he wants to possibly fight ggg in a 'year to a year and a half from now", yet he fights sergio mora again in a fight that no one asked for. Clear case of avoiding ggg as long as possible.

Ggg is a middleweight fighter and no top middleweight has tried to fight him in the ring. Cotto, when he was wbc mw champion, paid ggg step aside money twice and canelo paid step aside money once, to put off their fights with ggg.

154, 168lb boxing divisions are not gggs divisions- he's a full fledged mw, who will be undisputed mw champ probably next year.

Please explain, why the fighters in the mw divison, fighters at his weight, are doing their best to avoid fighting him so bad??
....you do realize that doesnt account for all the good fighters and contenders at 154-160...lemieux is the only one he has fought out of the current crop

GOOD BOY.
Alvarez handed the WBC 160 belt back to the WBC, and he's already scheduled to fight his next fight, and likely stay there depending on how he's feeling in another year, at 154lbs.

Golovkin and his camp, since the weight is now the linchpin to them, should stop talking about junior middleweights and welterweights that he wants to fight.

Golovkin has very little leverage to force any star to fight him at 160, and he's too chicken**** to take on the fights that could possible get him there.

Hopkins gave an interview a month ago, he received a big money offer from Oscars promoter Arum for 158. It was a voluntary, nobody getting stripped. Hops didn't like the CW, tried negotiating for 159, 158.5, they wouldnt budge so he relented cause the money was too good, and opponent a legit midget. Ggg received no offer from Canelo at all, not 158 for big money, not even 155. Get it, ******? Don't let me using this discredited talking point again a$$wipe

At 168 Ward would probably win. At 160 Gennady would probably win.

yea cuz ward would have to cut an arm and all his toes to make 160...why do you think they wanted 164? so ward could be drained and give GGG a chance, which he has no chance at beating Ward

There are no stars bigger than GGG other than Canelo. Why would he go up or down in weight to fight someone less popular than him for one title, when he has 4 ex Lara and Zurdo Ramirez. You can argue GGG should have met Alvarez at 155, but Canelo said he was ready to fight GGG at 160, he was ready right in the ring after the fight. If your ok with Canelo vs GGG at 155, you must be ok with GGG vs Ramirez at 161 for SMW title.

You didnt complain when Chad Dawson was weight drained vs Ward. Right?

This is not true, dawson asked to go down
