Deep down I truly believe that Team Lara is blowing smoke. They don't want to fight GGG just for the sake of fighting him, because he's the Middleweight champion or pound for pound one of the best boxers in the game.

The real reason they are calling out Golovkin is because they want a substantially higher paycheck than they are normally accustomed to making; Which is very erroneous in their thinking because the pot of gold is simply not there.

Where are they going to get the money? It certainly won't be coming from HBO because GGG's licensing fee from the network is probably around $2.5 Mil and Team Lara is going to want at least a $1 Mil of that; Which will leave Gennady with just over $1.5 Mil.

Moreover, you can't find a promoter to sell it either because neither guy is a box office, mainstream, crossover, pay per view draw. Well unless you consider cutting the ticket prices or giving them away for free, then neither fighter is going to put meat in the seats. They are both lacking strong sponsorship, backings and huge fanbases among the casual fan.

"We're not negotiating thru the media." Same statement I heard a thousand times and people who were in complete agreement are now okay with it.

So when is Lara's manager, Decubas, going to talk to Loeffler or Haymon?

Oh so you're gonna act like 99% of GGG's fans don't write the fight off because they feel Lara will lose? okay, fair enough.

Again, Im not sure what you mean. I just told you I wouldn't mind seeing Golovkin knock his head off and you give me this "99% if GGG fans write the fight off..."

Golovkin crushes Lara. I wouldn't mind seeing it happen. Id rather see Canelo, Saunders, Jacobs, Eubank, or even Gilberto Ramirez, but I would not mind seeing a Golovkin-Lara fight

See.. you dismiss the fight..."Oh if nothing else is happening I guess we can watch lara get KO'd" which makes it easier for people to swallow when GGG''s picks another bull***** mando

Martin Murray went 11 with GGG...I expect Lara to go 12 and make him look bad at times...

I guess I write off all of Gennadys possible opponents then. I think he KOs any other MW champ. I dont think anyone at 168 or below right now goes the distance with Golovkin. And its not just "if nothing else is happening". All if those names, except Ramirez, claim to be a MW champ in some form or another.

I do think its interesting you think Lara, who got put on his backside by Alfredo Angulo would be able to go the distance with Golovkin. I see it going a different way. But that's the fun of making predictions.

Truth is present and non-universal. To me, the term duck is just a new boxing trend used by fanboys to justify the deep love they feel for another grown man.

See you act like the Angulo that Lara fought is the Angulo Canelo fought. That's just not true. I could point out Angulo stopped Rosado way quicker than GGG.

Perfectly okay when it suits the argument. Not ok when it doesn't.

Problem here is we're only hearing one side of the story. Would be nice if it's a back and forth situation. The lack of it should prompt the Lara camp to do something different. It's obviously not working.

Mind boggling why he's not sending negotiators out there. Talk is cheap.

The match-up sucks, just like Canelo/Khan, GGG/Monroe, Lara/Rodriguez, and all of these other nonsensical mismatches. It's easier to tolerate a mismatch when it's a mandatory, but picking a voluntary like Mora isn't ideal. I'll just skip it and watch the main event. Canelo got criticized for fighting Khan, regardless of the PPV numbers. People are calling for GGG/Lara because Lara is perceived as threatening. Lara could easily justify and increase fans' desperation by cleaning up LMW and/or moving up to MW. Waiting for GGG to choose him is the wrong strategy.
"Waiting for GGG to choose him is the wrong strategy." Maybe no one cares about you requiring your 'strategy' for approval. "Canelo got criticized for fighting Khan" And GGG didn't for Wade, Rubio, etc etc etc? "Two entertaining rounds shouldn't equal rematch." Would've been more if not for the injury.

Your excuses are just you trying to protect your idol GGG, at least they come across that way. You can paint it whatever color you want, but that's the bottom line.
