Him and his team are attention whores since Lara is not highly regarded by the paying boxing public. Until he sends a serious offer (which he won't) his word is garbage.
I 100% agree with what you said. He took fights that would not allow him to lose so that he can remain in the running for the big-money fights: Cotto, Canelo rematch, & GGG. He's trying to do his best impression of Amir Khan.

Of course, you'll probably ignore everything I just wrote & choose to attack the one thing which you disagree with. Your move...
You don't even need much ring cutting skill to put get Lara to shell up on the ropes often, just some pressure and aggression. Cement footed Angulo, Freddy Hernandez did it. Even Canelo who's not much for pressure or ring cutting. And then on the ropes he's a sitting duck for Ggg

I agree. And the one thing that GGG has going for him as opposed to other power punchers who prefer to swing away as soon as they trap their opponent, GGG will sit in the pocket & wait for an opening (e.g., Curtis Stevens 1st knockdown).

But GGG fans shouldn't call other fighters cherry pickers then turn around and completely excuse it when he is cherry picking. All I ask is that they keep it real, apply the same standards fairly to everyone.
I think in general we all do, it's just the non-stop beating up of the man that gets tiresome. Part of the problem is being with a promotional team that doesn't have the kind of money or pull of a top rank. Is he picking his own opponents? No, does he generally have input on them? I absolutely doubt it. It's the same situation that Lara finds himself in, having to go through the media to try and make fights. Key being TRYING. I just wish these two fighters were with promoters more keen on letting the fighters pick their own opponents.

I think the Haymon wall of selfish promotion would have altogether prevented that bout from happening in the past. This is not to say that Lara isn't a good fighter. This is saying that back then, when GGG was looking for opponents, Haymon was in a position to refuse any good fights for all his fighters. But now that shackle is being loosened by Haymon himself (perhaps in response to the lawsuits levied against him...we still don't know if the PBC will ever make a profit). But in today's landscape, now that there are boxers who are now willing to fight GGG, it's a hard sale to the paying public to accept a Lara fight when GGG could have become undisputed fighting BJS, or increased his 160 scalps by going after Eubanks Jr. From a sport perspective, BJS comes first, but not Eubanks. From a monetary perspective, Lara would be the last consideration.

Well said brother--- Lara has zero credibility in his favour. So easy to call out fighters on social media, all the while knowing that the fight can't get made (e.g. promoter issues, network issues etc).

I'm well aware of the situation. And if GGG can't get Saunders or Jacobs then I hope he fights Lara.

Exactly Floyd is retired, ducking doesn't even apply. Only if he'd come back to fight Canelo for that lineal paper belt at 155 could we talk ducking. But that's thankfully no longer an option. That's why I don't understand the quack talk from Floyd re Ggg
