Why do you assume that? Would it also be safe to assume that you don't care about the health of fighters under Haymon?
Huge difference between me and you clowns is that I don't pontificate about fighters getting their brains damaged. Here you keep doing it whenever the topic is about overpaying fighters as if they get overpaid across the board.
First, who the hell cares what color of the skin Haymon has?
I've never seen the guy talk. Never seen him on videos. All I've ever seen is his picture. And it's the same one every time.
Is it really important that it's a picture of a black man?
Eddie Hearn is not from US. Believe it or not, people in the UK are not obsessed with racial issues. I am sure he doesn't care whether Haymon is black or white.
Second, PBC is a business venture. It will either fail or survive. I am guessing other promoters are talking s**t about PBC because they see lost opportunity in all the fighters that flock there. So they have to make it look like PBC is going down any minute. And maybe it will. But until it has, why count another man's money?
OK, if PBC was going to sink all the other promoters, monopolize boxing and feed us crappy fights there would be a case for everyone to be unsettled. But it doesn't look like it's happening. Golden Boy and Top Rank are making money, Main Events has been doing well... Even Eddie can't complain. If PBC are putting together mismatches, vote with your feet. Haymon doesn't have a history of wasting money, and he is better at making money than pretty much everyone who writes about him. So let's see what's gonna happen.
For the record, I am no fan of Haymon. I thought Mayweather milked boxing dry with his PR and his boring style. Garcia - Salka was a travesty. But money talks, no matter how much disbelief Hearn has looking at balance sheets.
It is the same complaint from all of the other Promoters who want things to be the OLD WAY in which the Promoters would just *** OVER the Fighters and rob them blind. Haymon Formula does make that Difficult so yes I can understand why other Promoters are not happy with Haymon way of business
Is it Sustainable? Nobody knows because we truly don't know if he is making money or losing money. Everything about PBC is Speculation and Conspiracy Theories basically.
But yeah if I was a Promoter that wasn't involved with PBC I would feel the same way. It would probably feel like they're being forced out by a Big Corporation. Like a Bodega Owner feels when a Walmart is being Built in their Neighborhood
Exactly. Al Haymon is Marlo Stansfield-ing the old model:
I am a fan of PBC. It's great that boxing is attempting a comeback on Prime Time Television.
However PBC/Al Haymon in my opinion went about this venture the wrong way. From what I understand he wants PBC to be the boxing version of the UFC model. Which is great. However Dana White and the Freta Brothers are partners and built it with their money, and obviously built it from the ground up.
Where as Al Haymon and company pretty much got a big loan to start up this venture. Now this Weddell and Reed apparently are now going to be suing PBC and Al Haymon according to Dan Rafael. So now you got a company who wants their billion dollars back on top of the Top Rank and Golden Boy Suits. So you got to ask yourself how long will this ship stay a float?
Al Haymon should have figured out a way to get all of the promoters who he worked with in the past to put the money up to get this PBC done the correct way. Now it seems that this is all coming to a crashing end.
Given the purses that DeGale, Jack, and Bute likely received, no way should it have sold only 4,135 tickets (assuming everyone in the announced attendance actually bought a ticket). And when the tv ratings come out, and it likely continues with the Showtime trend of <500k viewers, this is what Hearn is talking about.
You can't grow the sport at high cost - low return....
Ummm....GGG/Wade. That's the biggest mismatch we've seen all year. I don't remember any criticism of that from you.
I don't bring up brain damages and justify overpaying fighters like you clowns do. In your example, Wade was compensated properly, unlike the Salka fighters in the Haymon camp you don't give a hoot about, like Zerafa got $10K in the Quillin fight.

I don't give a **** about Haymon or his camp. I guess Monroe got properly compensated though...
Wow. These Haymon fanatics are so sensitive. They knew the biggest and worst mismatches happened in the Haymon camp, yet they're saying, "Nope, I'm not going to bash my uncle for it. Others do it, why should I? He's my uncle."
People bring up overpaying fighters, and the Haymon soldiers will automatically talk about brain damage. LOL. Very sensitive.
