"The fighters are getting overpaid for non-challenging fights" says Eddie Hearn as he steers Frampton away from Rigondeaux..

The only difference between Al Haymon's and Eddie Hearn's business is a slight disagreement in how much risk a boxer should take. That, and Haymon's boxers get paid.

Ed just steered Frampton to a LSC fight.

The difference between Haymon's model and Hearn's model is that Al doesn't have to worry about generating any revenue or even ratings.

How many people were in DC at the fights? 4,100. Pathetic. Good job Haymon.

What are you two fools talking about? Eddie Hearn DOES NOT promote Carl Frampton. They stopped working together a few years ago.

Hearn co-promoted Frampton-Quigg (Hearn is Quigg's promoter) along with Barry McGuigan, Frampton's promoter.

No doubt Santa Cruz will be a challenge for Frampton but complaining about boxers avoiding challenges while avoiding Frampton avoids Rigondeaux is hypocrisy.

As I said the only difference is a slight disagreement in the level of risk a boxer should take. Credit to Eddie for allowing Frampton to fight to Santa Cruz but let's not pretend this fight isn't subject to the same risk/reward calculations that plaque boxing today.

Perhaps Al Haymon's business model is unsustainable but that isn't what Eddie Hearn is criticising him for.

Yeah... No, I don't think so. I watched the Fox card yesterday as fighters slugged it out in the 1st round and people kept saying "that's what the fans want". But how many people go to work with the risk of getting CTE or some sort of brain damage? I know I don't. I edit video all day. I think it's BS for a promoter to sit in his high chair and say fighters are getting paid too much! How do you think Freddie Roach and Ali got Parkinson's? Think Roach think he got paid too much as a fighter?

perhaps unsustainable? They're ripping off their investors right now. That will never last. Eventually people realize they are getting nothing back ever for their "investment."

Pbc 3 non competitive fights. Thats was casual boxing fans want. Short night for boxing. Showtime had the better fights easily.
