Haymon is like the Politicians in California minimum wage $15 an hr great for the worker but eventually the money dries business close . Same here will happen Haymon only does this cause he's using investor's money if it was his money he would pay a lot less. These investors will dry up as well as these small business in California

Bad analogy. Minimum wages make it harder for smaller businesses to compete forcing them to shut up shop allowing the large corporations who can soak up the wage increases and are often the ones pushing for the minimum wage to fill the void. In your analogy Haymon is playing the part of the corporation pushing up the prices in order to reduce the competition.

Whether or not that is good sustainable business practice is more or less irrelevant to my point which is; bad analogy..

Yes he was right about the slave wages. I'm not saying all fighters should make what Floyd is making but once Floyd saw what was being made off of him he was right! He proved everybody was wrong. Yet we're back at this conversation again.

When a fighters signs with a promoter he's signing to fight and win. The promoters job is to promote him. If he's doing house job (fighting & winning) and he still can't draw a crowd, the promoter isn't doing his job properly. If I promote a comedy show and nobody shows up that's my problem. Those comedians still get paid what we agreed upon. If I throw another show with the same comedians and nobody shows up I'm not doing my job. Why should the comedians pay (boxers) be based on how well I do my job? I'm paying then to tell jokes (fight). My job is to promote the event so it's successful and I make money.

actually floyd didnt see so much for what was being made off "his back" so much as if you remember back then he wasn't selling so much. he left more because he felt he wasnt being marketed correctly and he was right, his career blew up when he went to golden boy on a fight by fight basis.

However 99.9% of boxers need a promoter or a mgr/promoter and don't have the name or self promotion to do what ol' floyd did.

How much did Zerafa got in the Quillin fight? Probably 10K. Quillin got $1 million. Danny Garcia and Leo Santa Claus got $700K, $750K, for fighting Salka and sparring partners, respectively. How is this not dangerous for the Salka fighter, who gets paid significantly less?

Hearn is doing the right thing for himself, if PBC keeps paying these guys all this money, then his guys are gonna want the same money, and once you've reached a certain point, it's gonna be tough to dial it back.
