    Solution;
    If Alvarez wants it at 154 and Golov at 160, then meet halfway. Catchweight at 157
    Or canelo can defend the middleweight title that he has at 160. I really don't see why there needs to be a compromise in this situation. It's not a fight between two guys in different divisions. They don't have a leg to stand on and are humiliating themselves with all their statements.

      I believe that Canelo will need GGG after Khan....People aren't going to continue to pay to watch Alvarez fight if he won't fight a legit middleweight... Alverez isn't that good or special a fighter to begin with and so far, his standout weapon is being bigger and stronger that his opponents.. I do think Canelo deserved respect for demanding Golden Boy get him fights people thought he'd be afraid of, but I don't think GB wil allow that anymore and keep him away from GGG until they absolutely have to..

Or saying he's not a MW when he has a MW belt. He should of just kept his money and not even fought for the belt. Against Cotto. It's not like he really cares about belts anyways or Lara wouldn't still have his. I'm a huge fan of Canelo but between GGG team and Canelos team they're making their fighters look bad.
          But is it Canelo's fault that the WBC gave him the MW title? Cotto vacated the title, and the fight was at 155. Why did the WBC give the title to Canelo, for a fight he fought at 155? Canelo wasn't fighting Cotto for the belt, he was fighting Cotto for the money! Cotto wasn't fighting Canelo for the belt, he was fighting Canelo for the money? Floyd dropped all his belts! Why do you think GGG is STILL saying he would fight Floyd @ 154? For the money! That's the ssame reason, in my opinion, that he should be willing to go to 155! Canelo is the man, now go beat the man!

            if you aren't why keep the belt, why don't you just move down to 154 lbs and fight canelo there?
            I know what he said. Funny thing is he weighed about 155 vs martinez & 153 for geale. Both fighters who are/were middleweights. He fought martinez at 159 lbs when martinez's HIGHEST WEIGHT WAS 159.5 lbs. The Geale cw I didn't like 157.

            Again, Cotto has actually fought middleweights while canelo is fighting a welterweight at middleweight.

              I'm cool with it as long as no titles are on the line and they're just gonna fight then I see no problem with a rematch.

                Wrong. If Canelo vacates or is stripped, as Interim champ GGG would immediately be elevated to full champ.

                    He would if he could, he hasn't made 54 in a couple of years now. The
                    min Golovkin moves up, Canelo will miraculously start fighting at 160, watch it happen.

                      HBO doesn't care anymore. Their content is slowly becoming a freak show. Constant mismatches and blowouts. That's what they're into nowadays.
                      I get Canelo is younger and the top draw but its getting ridiculous. HBO could put an end to all this garbage immediately by telling Canelo they will not approve any opponent other than GGG next.

                      They don't even have to tell him, just keep saying "no" to everyone Coka suggests.
