Pretty harsh. And also pretty miraculous that Manny got as far as he did in the sport of boxing with "no skills".

Pacquiao is a great fighter I disagree with James on the skills part

From a marketing point of view attacking Pac makes sense. Floyd's fanbase is one of the few ready made fanbases that is out there for American fighters. If you want to get the attention of that fanbase, attacking Pacquiao, HBO, Arum, or saying opponents have no 'skills' is the way to get their attention. Over the top displays of wealth, being a **** to people, and talking about 'being smart' is another.

That's what the entire Broner strategy was built on after all. Flat out imitating Floyd. But then Broner made the ultimate mistake with that fanbase which is losing. Which means not only is he not that good, he wasn't 'smart' either. Losing a fight can't be smart. Interestingly, not being able to read doesn't mean you can't be smart. So it's a very narrow definition.

I don't think Spence will go too far down that road though. It doesn't seem to be his personality. But we'll see.

Well, he's right. Pacquiao couldn't cut off the ring if his life depended on it. It's why he lost against Floyd.

I don't see anything too bad in what he said. Pacquiao does many things well but cutting off the ring is not one of them.

                  Is Pacquiao fighting 6-7 heavyweights?

Cutting off the ring is a technique that involves footwork. Explain how size interferes with footwork. I would love to know.

Saying he has no skills, no fundamentals and no jab is a giant stretch but at the same time we already know that Pacquiao, for as great as he is, doesn't have that many dimensions and in fact that whats most astonishing about his career. Pacquiao has a decent jab at best and he isn't that good at cutting off the ring, those are things people are just gonna have to accept.
