Pacquiao isn't textbook, but he certainly has a lot of fundamentals down. Spence is a by the book fighter (which is brilliant, he's going to be a really good fighter), but just because Pacquiao isn't by-the-book doesn't mean he isn't fundamental.

I like Spence a lot, a skillfull but powerfull boxer-puncher, not a Mayweatherish pillow-fister/runner like lots of todays modern U.S. fighters! Not a mess like Marcus Browne, Alexander, Wilder or Broner for example. But it sounds a bit ****** to say that one of the best fighters from the last era lacks fundamentals....Last edited by Tobi.G; 04-18-2016, 10:45 AM.

But without them, just a bunch of overhyped fighters or blown up decent 140 pounders.
They talk about P4P material/future of boxing when they speak about Brook, Thurman and Spence by now.
In reality they are just contenders or alphabet titilists to me.
If they move up to 154, they all would probably lose against Lara, Canelo or the winner of Charlo/ Trout.
So called P4P cats...

With that said, I think there's a bit more to it. Pacquiao's inability to cut off the ring cost him against Mayweather, but I don't think it was a factor against Algieri as I don't think he wanted to hurt him. It seemed obvious to me that Algieri was carried to the end of the fight.
Dude is trying to explain us why he is a better fighter (at least with more Fundamentals) than Manny.
Manny is taking a guy 5 inches taller when he's fighting Algieri.
Ther is no useful comparison of both fights.
Spence is a 147 contender and his comparing himself to a legend of the sport.
He's talking out of his ass . end off
