The viewership numbers are decent. What's not is his live gate drawing power. I heard that half of the Arena was empty.

If you can't draw crowds in your own hometown, how do you expect to do well in Vegas? Even Broner and Crawford pack their hometown stadiums.

The main point to me is..... Golovkin fans should have never used numbers to justify anything..... any real fight fan knows that Ward is at least on Golovkin's level, and that he has more than paid his dues..... why would fan's feel the need to get caught up in that numbers game?

That's what's hilarious you have to either call GGG a liar today or a liar yesterday one of them has to be true and it's funny watching his fans twist themselves into a pretzel to try and make sense and defend it all. Literally flip flopping from what they said last year. First Ward can't draw viewers so not worthy of a fight and that since I'm the bigger name I'm the A side so we have to fight at my catchweight (even though I already told the world I'll fight everybody ELSE at 168) and the rest of my demands must be met. Now the numbers don't work in their favor because Ward draws virtually the same so now losers trying to bring up the tickets sold. And bragging because a few more tickets for GGG and penny counting the viewer numbers by cherry picking what HBO fights to use for GGG (tons of excuses for below avg performances in Murray and Geale fights so they just want to throw those fights aside). Yet when Canelo says I'm the bigger draw you need to submit to my demands and it's not by a few thousand more viewers but by 1mil more viewers (HBO Kirkland 2.2mil viewers) and not just a few more seats sold Canelo fills up damn baseball parks pushing 40k tickets sold (double the tickets GGG can sell) and has live gates from ticket sales for his fights that double and triple GGG and I won't even bring up the PPV numbers between these 2. But you get the point the difference is massive. Yet GGG fans want to throw all that out the window NOW because A) Canelo dwarfs this fool as draw and B) GGG's PPV that they all bragged about last year over Ward flopped C) Ward's numbers on HBO are basically what GGG has avg his last 4 fights on HBO

Fact is GGG is closer to Ward's level as a draw then he is Canelo's. But when Canelo argued that he deserves all the A side privileges that GGG laughably tried to enforce over Ward here is where the hypocrisy from GGG and his fans come into play. All the arguments they made against Ward just 6-8months ago are flip flopped. Numbers don't matter, CW's are for cowards lol

Crawford doesn't pack his arena. The entire upper deck is tarped off in Omaha. Same for Oakland. Crawford draws about 1-2K more fans, but Nebraska also doesn't have any pro teams. Oakland has the NFL, MLB, and NBA.
