It isn't a good number. It is an average number...to be expected. Most HBO fights get around 1Million viewers as long as showtime isn't having a card on the same night. 1.2 and over is a good number.

The belt means nothing. Floyd defended the 154 belt at 147 for 2 frigging years. And GGG has taken step aside fees for like 2 years straight from Cotto and Canelo. If all he wanted was the belt he could forced both to vacate it. You can try all you want but GGG is a liar and hypocrite.

Why vacate when you got fools like GGG who keep bending over and giving you step asides? Floyd could of simply vacated his 154 titles but didn't because there was no need. GGG will either agree to fight Canelo on his terms or he won't. When that day comes if he doesn't step aside again I'm sure Canelo will take that belt and throw it right in the trash. Just like Floyd would of done if any organization would of tried to enforce a mandatory he didn't want. Whether you like it or not when you get to the level Canelo is at and Floyd/Manny they will fight who they want, when they want and at what weight they want. For 5 years we have seen Floyd and Manny fight and defend and win belts at catchweights and various other weights. And opponents who want to fight them have to agree to their terms. Canelo had to do it to get Floyd to fight him. Why should it be any different for GGG? Again if all he wants is the belt then tell lil ggg to stop stepping aside and he can get a meaningless vacated belt. He could of had the belt last year if it's that important to him. Newsflash dipshyt he is not fighting his mando right now because GGG allowed it. GGG gave him a voluntary defense just like he gave Cotto one. Because he has no leverage with either guy both are bigger stars and draws then him and make more money when they fight then him. He needs them not the other way around.

No, you're being willfully ignorant. For a guy whose draw was in question, it's a great number. The biggest stars on hbo's non-ppv sched draw similar numbers and it puts Ward right up there with the regular stars that they've been building for years.

The difference in what GGG avg's on HBO and what Ward just did is very minor. Yet the difference between what GGG avg's and Canelo's 2.2mil viewers last year against Kirkland is massive.
