Get rid of that BS that Nate Diaz just got off the couch for this fight. The guy was training for a triathlon when he was called to fight McGregor. He was already in great shape if not fighting shape. Diaz also said that he was fine if the fight was at 160 but McGregor's dumb ass wanted it at 170. For all of McGregor's flashy spinning kicks and shit, he probably didn't watch any tape of Diaz at all.

The Diaz brothers are known for their conditioning and they both rarely get knocked out.

For all that crap McGregor spewed about Floyd, at least Floyd does his research.

Well Nate and Nick did a lot of boxing training themselves, both are nice with their hands and both are extremely tough! I think McGregor just thought he would overwhelm him with his boxing and underestimated Diaz CHIN and boxing Skills

McGregor started off good but as others said he got arrogant and thought he would just go toe to toe and win. He probably seen all the blood and assumed that Diaz was more hurt than he really was and that he would just finish him. It was a left hand that just buckled McGregor and he never recovered then Diaz caught him with that left again and McGregor went for the Take Down which was stuffed and end up costing him. I guess in the mist of the action he forget that Diaz has crazy BJJ skills on the ground as well and Nate made him pay for his costly mistakes

Made for a great fight while it lasted though regardless

So in boxing terms, McGregor got "Out-Slugged" I guess we can say that?

Training for a triathlon and training for a mma match are two very different things. He didn't get off the couch but he was hardly prepared for a world class fight. And tbh Nate is a decent fighter but he's only a gatekeeper. McGregor was the one with the more advantages going in. He just lost to a guy who was better than him that night. Plain and simple.

            TS...

This is what the MMA is

They don't know how to fight with a gameplan, they just brawl.

Conor will lose again, he will have many more losses, this sport anyone can win on the night, a bum who has been training for 2 weeks could beat a guy who has been training for 6 months

**** sport, actually i cant even call it a sport

He always fights like that, he comes out right away and gets in dudes faces and they usually get kod and hurt fast. Only difference was this time he fought a bigger guy known to have an iron chin 2 weight classes above . Diaz was able to take the power shots and conor was gassed you saw the rest.

Looking at your post its obvious you dont watch ufc alot. There is alot of fighters tha actually fight smart and follow the gameplan. Jon jones for example.

Diaz is a tough Mexican and not small. He took those shots well (what some people call walking through) and broke McGregor down.

As the fight progressed McGregor couldn't keep Diaz off him due to an empty gas tank from loading up on big shots.

An early KO was out of the question. His best bet would have been to pace himself and go for the outbox strategy.

That's exactly what happened ...McGregors mind set was no one could take his punch he hit diaz with several...hes young he gets a pass and would still be favored to win a rematch...end thread!

That's true...cardio would be the issue not training...connor had to adjust to a taller guy from going to a 5'8 foot one to a 6'0 one which was ultimately his undoing along with over confidence not sure what the other Neanderthal was saying on this thread how MMa does not take skill and anyone can win by just brawling but ,at least you get it,though it wasn't about weight as much as fighting a bad game plan which DOEs happen has nothing to do with not being skilled.
