And yet dos Santos (16-2 MMA, 10-1 UFC), who’s a slight underdog to retake the UFC title he lost this past year to Velasquez (12-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC), is the latest MMA notable to express interest in testing his fistic skills against boxing’s best.

I think if they give me four months to get prepared, I can beat [the Klitschkos]” he told MMAFighting.com. “I love to train boxing and I think I have enough skills in boxing. I know how to see a good fight. Four months – that’s what I need.
16-3 bud. He recently got ktfo by alistair overeem

First time Diaz hit him flush I could tell how the fight was going to end. He tagged him and stopped McGregor in his tracks......knew right then he had bitten off more than he could chew.

The Aldo fight is interesting in that Jose doesn't look "right". He may be getting old overnight, maybe Connor has his number, but it's impossible to say since we didn't see those two exchange, it just ended immediately. Remember, JDS folded Velasquez easily. But, in subsequent fights we found out that Cain was the better fighter BY FAR. Never read too much into a quick KO.
I know not to read too much into a quick KO. There's always the possibility of a different kind of fight in rematches but until then, we all know that when they did cross paths in the ring, it was McGregor who came out as the winner without question.

Yeah, most of the time, real hypejobs got nothing to fall back on to justify their hype. Paige and Sage are two examples of this, as they never beaten anybody of note. It was either because the looks or because of the age. But Conor's win over guys like Aldo and Mendes does add some weight to his hype and that shows that he's indeed legit, no matter how overhyped he is/was. A loss to Diaz isn't going to erase his previous wins.
