Comments Thread For: Abel Sanchez Not Viewing Andre Ward's Inactivity as Advantage

This is the article you were referencing
Gennady Golovkin isn't fussy about who he fights next. He's not bothered about embarking on a weight-loss regime to move down a division or piling on the pounds to move up.He just wants a fight. The Kazakh destroyer hasn't had many recently. Not that he hasn't been in the ring – it's just that Golovkin's [...]Last edited by about.thousands; 02-12-2016, 10:33 AM.Comment

Tom said the reason they wouldn't want Ward is because Ward wanted a tune up. That was over a year ago. He'd already have his tune up by now and the fight could've been made.
@DaRealDULLAH @EliasWallace @M_RagingBabe @jethang Ward wants tune up, Cotto= No, trust me we've tried

Sanchez and Loeffler have never said that Ward didn't deserve a fight with GGG because he'd been inactive and they couldn't have made the fight while he was inactive.Comment

@Ghostxl @fighthype @gggboxing Ward is supermiddleweight

I've never mentioned or even read any article with GGG saying Ward had turned down the fight 3 times. I don't believe that article even exists outside your imagination.
Don't accuse me of saying something I didn't say because of some imaginary article in your head.
You're going to be telling me I wrote the damned thing next.Comment

So we go back to my original question. What does Ward's activity/inactivity have to do with the fight being made? They're justifying Hopkins being a better opponent because he's been more active than Ward but by the time the fight would be made Hopkins would've fought once in two years and Ward would've fought twice in one year. Ward is clearly more active.Comment

Let me guess you just started following boxing. Sanchez and the rest of this horrible team kept stating that Ward didn't deserve a fight with Baby G because he has been inactive too long. So why turn around and say his inactivity is not a disadvantage? When at first you used it as an EXCUSE so Ward wouldn't put them "paws" on him.
They're saying inactivity is not a disadvantage for the Barrera fight because they don't expect him to be rusty.
And they didn't want to make GGG/Ward because of Ward's lack of popularity (among other issues) due to inactivity. Barrera's an unknown, so they have no problems putting them together.Comment

Recent quotes supposedly from GGG are false, he never said Ward turned down a fight 3 times and never said Ward changed weight in Amateurs

ZERO Discussions 4 a Ward fight, but funny to see Floyd/Cotto fan reactions when CW and A side linked to #GGG, Not Allowed, #GotEm #157 #152

So why were they trying to fight a retired Froch?

And back in 2013 while Ward was still active Tom was saying the reason the Ward fight won't happen is because Ward is a SMW. But they were willing to fight Chavez Jr at any weight
@DominicVerdin66 @hboboxing @gggboxing would fight Chavez at any weight he wanted no catch weight necessary

@stevemaxboxing @berniebahrmasel @latimespugmire @bobarum If GGG looks good in Nov we should make the fight w Chavez-Bob can pick the weight
