The plan was never for BJS to get in the ring with GGG in the first place because he and his team have made that quite clear from the beginning that's not what they want. What we have is at least one month of waisted negotiations.

BJS has clearly said that he'd need at least 18 months before he's ready for a fight with GG and that he was essentially scared of him. Why even waist your time trying to negotiate with BJS when you have someone like Jacobs who is more of a threat and is only asking for fair money. I'm sure he'll take the same offer given to Saunders in a heartbeat.

THe way things are looking is the Canelo-GG showdown will be a letdown this fall as well due to the weight issues.

Loefler says he's neutral with PBC/Haymon, but just needs to talk to HBO. Well, why not get the talking?

#1 MW vs #2 MW, I'm all for it until I hear otherwisre from Team GGG and Team Jacobs. So far, I've heard Team Jacobs stance on what their requests are but nothing from Loefler and Golovkin.

Team Jacobs asks for a 50/50 split, but given their fight with Quillin didn't do so well, I can see a 60-40 split in favor of Golovkin because his fight with DL had more butts in seats. Other than that, everything should be at least negotiated. But Golovkin and Co. act like Jacobs doesn't exist.
More "butts in the seats" doesn't mean anything if those extra butts don't translate to actual dollars.

Jacobs-Quillin split $3m on the main event, and none of the other parties (Showtime, Barclays Center, DiBella Entertainment) seemed worried about losing anything on the event, which would lead me to believe that the actual event, once everything was counted, did better than you seem to think.

Money moves the sport, which seems to be something that K2 is unwilling to acknowledge when doing so is to their detriment:

-Alvarez-Golovkin is not going to end up happening because the "business of boxing" would have the fight split 90/10 Alvarez and K2 will try to insist on getting at least 75/25 Alvarez (as mandated by the WBC for purse bids).

-Billy Joe Saunders can walk away from $3m because he and his camp, 1)know that Saunder-Eubank 2 is a fight that would likely get him significantly more than that and 2)understand that he can hold his title hostage in the UK and make about that much money in headline showcase defenses

-"Miracle Man" Daniel Jacobs is now America's top middleweight fighter and is walking into any fight negotiation with at least a $2m US rights fee from Showtime, the backing of Barclays Center (his home venue), and Al Haymon minding the money on his behalf.

Nobody was worried about losing money on Jacobs/Quillin because it was paid for out of the $400million that Haymon's investors gave him to fund his PBC venture.

In a sentence or two, what's you main point?

Do you agree with me that Jacobs should happen next if GGG falls through or no?

Only thing we can do is stop watching. I cut off my Showtime account and basically only watch HBO boxing now, because at least they try to make the fights we want even if it means some bad fights in between.

PBC might be on its death bed though (ratings are in the gutter, fighter pay is completely impossible to maintain, and fans have tuned it out for the most part.) so maybe things will change soon.
Showtime just delivered a really good Deontay Wilder fight on Saturday, will deliver the Frampton-Quigg fight for US fans, already has two ShoBox cards in the cue, will likely carry Brook-Bizier and the hoped for Brook-Khan fights, will likely be the stage for Wilder-Povetkin this summer, and has the inside path on the hypothetical Wilder-Fury fight (if both guys continue winning, that fight could end up setting up as a possible December PPV). You add that Chavez Jr is still fighting on Showtime and that PBC only has so many primetime slots for their big fights, and you've missed out on a ton of fights and will continue to miss out, especially this year.

HBO's boxing schedule for 2016? Kovalev-Pascal 2, Crawford-Lundy, Pacquiao-Bradley 3, Ward-Barrera, Kovalev-Ward(a bout that I will actually be tuning in for if it happens; not sure how far along the talks will actually get this time, but the possibility of Kovalev-Stevenson happening in the summer may throw things off), Fury-Klitschko 2, 2-3 'Canelo' PPV fights, and 2-4 Golovkin stay-busy fights (making my guess now, Golovkin fights Tureano Johnson, JS Heiland, and then closes the year out with fighting Caleb Truax).

              have fun with that

You can never work that part out.
It's about ****ing time you explain it.
Same way "Czar" Glazkov just fought on Showtime; Lou DiBella put on the show, paying Main Events for the right to bring Glazkov onto the show.

Lara isn't a bum, Lara isn't signed to a deal by Showtime, and Haymon has been pretty consistent with working to deliver the best opportunity to the fighters that he works with.

Why is it so impossible for you to imagine K2 calling Haymon offering to pay $1m to bring Lara over to fight Golovkin on a K2 show?

                It's not rocket science

Frampton - Quigg is legit, I'll watch that.

The rest of those hypothetical fights mean nothing until there signed which none of them are.

Wilder won't even fight Povetkin so no need to waste any of my time on him until he does, or at least fights someone legit. I'm over wasting my time on fighters with careers full of BS.

Chavez Jr. I have never cared about.

                    Except that it wasn't, lol.

Using funds, seemingly allocated to establish a broadcast TV series for boxing, to subsidize a separate show, unrelated to establishing said broadcast TV series, is a quick way to actually get sued and lose, clown.

                      Apparently it is rocket science.

Haymon/PBC/Showtime ard trying to put HBO Boxing out of business.

The idea that Haymon is going go help HBO boxings ratings when his fighters are being overpaid on Showtime for horrible ratings, and when he has his own thing going with PBC, nope, its not happening.

                      I can guarantee you that.

If it was that easy, it would of happened a million times over.
