This forum is so flimsy in their position - on one hand the sanctioning bodies are slammed when the narrative isn't favored and on the other hand you have threads where folks are upset that GGG might not have his mando enforced - which is silly in itself. He's a recognized "champion" by another org but was somehow able to position himself to win an "interim" WBC title, even though he's a champion and despite the fact that the interim title was silly since the main titleholder was active.
In the end - I'm patiently awaiting for PBC to make their belts and fully make all the sanctioning bodies irrelevant. Its a matter of time before HBO and Showtime have no choice but to be broadcast options for PBC. Once Cotto and Pac are officially gone, these other networks won't have much to stand on except Canelo - all the other fighters want to be apart of the PBC brand. Canelo, once he takes another L one of these days will jump ship from Oscar and join PBC. I'd say w/i 3 years, he'll be on PBC banner officially making PBC the only game in town. I hate all these promoters, I hate these decentralized organizations.
If these other organizations want to survive, and compete w/ PBC, they need to merge.
