Lemieux showed a very good chin and huge determination. He was just overmatched in the fight.

I rate him higher than roman gonzalez
GGG using the "Mexican style" label was marketing only.
Golovkin is a pure "Soviet school" product. Cubans only may nullify this style... And (in GGG's specific case) Ward, maybe (because of his size and his 'smart grappling' techniques...)

And boxing is litered with fighters that were losing in more dominant fashion and had the ref stopped it we would be robbed with many historic comebacks from guys who don't hit half as hard as David does. GGG likely goes on and still wins but I rather let it play. I didn't like the Gonzalez stoppage either. He just stunned and hurt gonzalez 30 secs eaelier in that same round. Both were a little too early

... the GGG's morning weight was 168.8 lb?... Ward's morning weight was 180 (for the E-Rod fight).

GGG is the mandatory to the WBC Middleweight title that Cotto holds, and he will enforce it one way or the other. Whether it's actually fighting the Cotto/Canelo winner, or forcing either one to vacate so he can become the Full WBC Champion.
Stop making up opponents that are not on GGG's radar.
Quillin may not have the tools and may not be the best in his division, but damn he's a true middleweight, something Cotto nor Canelo are.
Not on his radar? Didn't Golovkin said he wants all the middleweight belts? Who has the WBA middlewight belt then? That's right.....Quillin.
Unless Jacobs beat him of course.
