?? Canelo can re-hydrate to Chavez Jr. weight. That means absolutely nothing. Canelo can barely punch at 155, he's a moderate puncher<< that's probably giving him too much credit.
Not a power puncher by any means. Golovkin is a power puncher with a lot of amateur experience.
Would you like to know who else could punch? Mike Tyson... he fought bigger men. If you honestly do find resemblance between Canelo-Golovkin and Hearns and Hagler than by all means, that's on you.
I absolutely do not, not even closely think Canelo will do anything to GGG. I'm sure when fight night comes, GGG will take a punch without even flinching considering he's done that to all the other middleweights.I see it as a mismatch even.
But again, if GGG likes the Proskas, Andy Lees and other fellas to feed on for some belts--whatever. I'd like to see some competitive fights, but don't mind GGG just steam rolling a bunch of smaller by frame dudes with shut outs in the scorecards as well.I mean this weight stuff is blown way out of proportion now of days. Weight doesn't give you power, or ability. GGG has both power and ability like some of the greats, and he can do some competitive fights instead of having an edge in just about every category against all of these middleweights.
First, GGG snipes Canelo off, he is gonna get major props. No way around it.
Tyson was a short heavyweight, he had no choice but to fight bigger men. And pure punching power doesn't make you a great fighter. It's not even what gets GGG is KO.
Lastly, Canelo has power. His problem at 154 is he was always drained. However, it doesn't matter. He is a MW, largely considered one of the best options.
And he is in way of unification.
GGG needs those four belts, because he goes from a guy no one wants to fight, to a guy that everyone wants to fight.
Andrade, Lara, Will come up. Lee, Quillin, will be there.
And he still can go after 168. But in a much stronger position and after accomplishing his goals.
I'm fine with that.
He is younger than B-hop when he faced Trinidad.
By three years.
And with today's medical and sports science, he can literally stay in fighting shape longer.
I would like to see him move up, but I want him to clean out MW first.
The Canelo and Cotto BS has to go! GGG is the one to do it.
GGG rehydrated to almost 170 pounds therefore he could easily fight Ward at 168 pounds as the winner of Cotto vs Canelo will never fight him. I think it's time for him to move up instead of looking for smaller guys to fight. I'm sure the fans want to see better fights.

Canelo will fight him or vacate.
Andrade is calling him.
GGG has a few mandatories.
Lee is up.
And again, Canelo will fight him.
I love that you haters only have the hope he gets ducked.
Cotto/Canelo, no matter what they do, they will no longer be MW champs come next year.
