Lemieux showed a very good chin and huge determination. He was just overmatched in the fight.

Gonzalez is the true top level "Mexican style"...
GGG using the "Mexican style" label was marketing only.
Golovkin is a pure "Soviet school" product. Cubans only may nullify this style... And (in GGG's specific case) Ward, maybe (because of his size and his 'smart grappling' techniques...)Comment

... Simakov took an 8 count and he was also landing (in the Kovalev fight) until he stumbled out of nothing (apparently) and was taken to the hospital where he died three days later. The only problem is David was still throwing punches and he's a know big puncher that can stop any fight with one shot. Would rather the ref gave a standing 8 count if he thought the body shot hurt David. David landed a hard hook 5 secs earlier. And boxing is litered with fighters that were losing in more dominant fashion and had the ref stopped it we would be robbed with many historic comebacks from guys who don't hit half as hard as David does. GGG likely goes on and still wins but I rather let it play. I didn't like the Gonzalez stoppage either. He just stunned and hurt gonzalez 30 secs eaelier in that same round. Both were a little too earlyComment

I would try to explain things to you but you are obviously an idiot and would never understand how weight divisions work.GGG rehydrated to almost 170 pounds therefore he could easily fight Ward at 168 pounds as the winner of Cotto vs Canelo will never fight him. I think it's time for him to move up instead of looking for smaller guys to fight. I'm sure the fans want to see better fights.
I am getting a huge kick out of the haters just self destructing today. Here... I have something for you...

Here is another "weigh-in savvy"...GGG rehydrated to almost 170 pounds therefore he could easily fight Ward at 168 pounds as the winner of Cotto vs Canelo will never fight him. I think it's time for him to move up instead of looking for smaller guys to fight. I'm sure the fans want to see better fights.
... the GGG's morning weight was 168.8 lb?... Ward's morning weight was 180 (for the E-Rod fight).Comment

Cotto isn't a true middleweight and unless the fight takes place at 160, it's another farce in Cotto's favor which means nothing for Golovkin if he grabs the title from him at a catchweight. How is Quillin next? Explain this to me.
GGG is the mandatory to the WBC Middleweight title that Cotto holds, and he will enforce it one way or the other. Whether it's actually fighting the Cotto/Canelo winner, or forcing either one to vacate so he can become the Full WBC Champion.
Stop making up opponents that are not on GGG's radar.
Quillin may not have the tools and may not be the best in his division, but damn he's a true middleweight, something Cotto nor Canelo are.
Not on his radar? Didn't Golovkin said he wants all the middleweight belts? Who has the WBA middlewight belt then? That's right.....Quillin.
Unless Jacobs beat him of course.Comment

I don't have a problem with it. Actually don't have a problem with him staying at 160. But what is he supposed to do? There's nothing at 160 for him and times a wasting.Comment

Nothing at 160? You call the WBC belt nothing? He's got Canelo/Cotto (actually both) and he has Andy Lee's Strap, he's also got the option of the winner of Jacobs/Quillin. Who exactly is at 168 waiting for him? A year ago I would say two names worthy of discussing, right now nobody for the same reason that Ward is looking to make a splash at 175Comment
