GGG has all the leverage and no reason to move up and fight ward now. Bigger fights waiting it out at 160 right now. He has plenty of time to later move up and fight ward. But unlike ward he has options and leverage. More fans want to see him fight cotto and canelo and there is more money in those fights. Sorry ward has to wait

Ward needs to quit ducking Kovalev already. He can't make 168 anymore but is scared to officially fight at light heave cause he knows fans will demand the fight. So he just catch weight and ducks.

Im not gonna lie its feels pretty good breaking down the technical aspects of a fight and ultimately plays out like i had predicted. My assessment centered around GGGs jab and if Lemieux couldnt get past it he was in for helluva fight. Simple, GGG has a superb jab.

So Lemieux takes an L and hes a bum? This is that mindset that disgusts me. I credit this to DKSAB. You dont get to this level being a bum, Lemieux has World Class power and it obviously carried him this far. When one fighter doesnt look on par with the guy opposite...thats what you call a DIFFERENCE IN CLASS! When one fighter is more polished than the other, that class is gonna be evident. Simple.

Lemieux would be a threat to most MW, Cotto and Canelo.

GGG is in a class by himself right now.

Before the Golovkin nuthuggers start jizzing over this win, let me say this. David is one dimensional and ONLY had a puncher's chance, hence the odds. If you bought into the fight's hype, then you don't know boxing. Golovkin is too good for the MW division. He should just move up and REALLY test himself. He's not going to get that at MW.

GGG is the MW division. He isn't giving up those belts, and he has mandatorily and he is a mandatory

And tech, when anyone dominates their division they are too good for it.

If he goes up to 168 and KO everyone, then he'll be too good.

GGG has three years before he is as old as B-Hop when he unified.

I wouldnt say MW is dead, although it has been much tougher its actually getn interesting. Theres good fighters we just gotta get em on camera.

GAs for GGG moving up id like to see that eventually but for now theres still some to be accomplished at the wt. Unifying the division in this current era, with all the politics, dude thatll be huge and he has the best shot out there in the entire sport.

?? Canelo can re-hydrate to Chavez Jr. weight. That means absolutely nothing. Canelo can barely punch at 155, he's a moderate puncher<< that's probably giving him too much credit.
Not a power puncher by any means. Golovkin is a power puncher with a lot of amateur experience.
Would you like to know who else could punch? Mike Tyson... he fought bigger men. If you honestly do find resemblance between Canelo-Golovkin and Hearns and Hagler than by all means, that's on you.
I absolutely do not, not even closely think Canelo will do anything to GGG. I'm sure when fight night comes, GGG will take a punch without even flinching considering he's done that to all the other middleweights.I see it as a mismatch even.
But again, if GGG likes the Proskas, Andy Lees and other fellas to feed on for some belts--whatever. I'd like to see some competitive fights, but don't mind GGG just steam rolling a bunch of smaller by frame dudes with shut outs in the scorecards as well.I mean this weight stuff is blown way out of proportion now of days. Weight doesn't give you power, or ability. GGG has both power and ability like some of the greats, and he can do some competitive fights instead of having an edge in just about every category against all of these middleweights.

GGG wanted to unify and Lemieux had a belt. He couldn't fight Cotto because he's busy with Canelo. What other middle weight out there would have made sense for GGG to fight?

Can't believe people are b1tching about a fight being stopped early on the same night a guy is under going brain surgery. He was getting beat up in there, yes it was little early but cant blame the officials for stopping it.
