Cotto would have knocked him out as well.

He isn't Mayweather's personal ref, if that's what you mean.

The guy's face is recognizable though, that's for sure.

He reffed Quillen/Lee earlier this year, and I've seen him on a bunch of other fights.

Cotto has way to much skill for Lemieux. Cotto wins a wide UD over Lemieux.

I'm not on anyone's nuts. I actually like Lemieux and was hoping he would make a fight of it but obviously he didn't possess the skill to land enough clean shots. I base my comments on what actually happens in the ring. You're crazy if you think Lemieux was landing a lot of clear punches every round. I think you should watch the fight again. Golovkin dominated virtually every round. Taking a step back when you're opponent tries to bully you on the inside is called boxing and intelligent defense. Lemieux's only chance in that fight was going toe to toe. His power was the only attribute he had that could compete with Golovkin if he could get the proper range. He ran into the jab every time he attempted to do so and was unable to make any adjustments to effectively deal with Golovkin's fight plan. You actually think Golovkin was going to stand on the inside all night and give Lemieux the only chance he had to win the fight? He proved he is an intelligent boxer as well as a vicious puncher. If you think Lemieux's unsuccessful efforts warrant a rematch you are seriously delusional. A second fight would produce the same result. Let me guess, you also thought Pascal was hurting Kovalev and would've knocked him out if the fight wasn't stopped right?
You should go watch wrestling if you like seeing people pretend to land punches and get credit for it.

Lemieux is a bigger stronger harder hitter then margarito and would laugh at cottos punches the way the blown up BW pac man did and KO him at will again in the 1st round

A little disappointed in Lemieux, as soon as I saw his approach in Rd 1 I thought the dude was going to get whacked.

Too bad, I kinda cheerleaded the guy last week as I thought he would have landed at least one decent punch to test GGG. But not to be, Golovkin simply didn't allow it.

What we saw is pretty much what you get when one guy has a jab and the other doesn't.

I would really like to see Lemieux vs. the loser of Canelo/Cotto.

                    And GGG vs. Winner.

And winner of Lemieux vs. _____ get's another shot at whoever becomes the unified champ.

Come on GBP/K2/RocNation... let's see it. I'll buy them all.

(I love middleweight when it gets good, fav division.)
