That argument makes no sense if you then go on to omit Lomachenko from the list.
Indeed, the reasons The Ring gave for including Ward so high on the list also make no sense at all if they then fail to place Lomachenko in the top five.Comment

No, he didn't. He ducked Bute and refused to fight either Dirrell. And I do not care what happened to those fighters in other fights, Ward did not fight them when he should have. I would even be satisfied if Ward was to take a fight against Bute today, say on the undercard of Cotto - Canelo. They are both trying to make a comeback. It would be a no brainer. I would not give Bute much of a chance but it would be better than fighting some unknown, unranked bum.Comment

Wrong. Calzaghe retired as #2 P4P and people collectivly agree that Hopkins and Kessler are his best wins.
Kessler was seen as the best 168 fighter after Calzaghe retired so I don't know what you speak of. #1 SMW, favorite to win the Super 6, favored to beat Ward. Sorry, you cannot just waltz in here with your boy to fabricate what was going on in 2008-2009. Wait another 10-20 years to see if people forgot what was going on, but for now don't even think about it, there's still posters here who were around to remember the praise Kessler was getting.Comment
