So is he looking to campaign at jrmw since they keep saying reason they want Floyd fight at 154 because he has titles there

Ward is a royal waste of time and money not only for the GGG Team but the entire sport. Ward should be pursuing Kovalev.

If that were the case Matthysse would have been P4P pre Danny Garcia. He wasn't on ring magazines or anyone else's p4p list at that time.

A guy like Kovalev deserves his spot because he earned it with hopkins and pascal.
Lucas had already lost to Devon and Zab, he was never a P4P fighter.
Where has Andre Ward been fighting his whole Career?
He's the most dominant fighter at a prestigious weight class, that's why they put him in there I'm guessing. Plus the only guy they say can beat him is number 2 on that list so......

Reporter: What's going on with Andre Ward?

Team GGG: He's irrelevant. He's been inactive. We're the A-side. 164 or no fight. Our focus is unifying the middleweight division.

          GGG fanboys: <<>>

GGG critics: Why not just shut up about Ward?

GGG fanboys: THEY CAN'T SHUT UP ABOUT WARD. THAT'S ALL ANYBODY EVER ASKED THEM ABOUT!!!!!!!

GGG critics: If Ward is irrelevant, why is GGG constantly asked about him???

GGG fanboys: WARD IS DUCKING KOVALEV!!!!!

Interestingly , I never felt Ward should fight Kov at his first fight at 175 . It's kinda ludicrous to fight the top guy in a weight division north of ur own as your first fight . I felt the same for GGG . GGG should have committed to a Ward fight (since he used Wards name to build his whole career) only after 1 or 2 acclimation fights at 168 . Ward should do the same

Translation= We know we would be getting a guarantee loss so we don't want the fight.

2 years ago everyone would have defended Matthysse and gave him credit for those fights .... after his "loss" to Alexander he KOed 6 guys in a row, some being high quality opponents like Lamont Peterson. Golovkin still doesn't have a win as good as Matthysse ' s win over Peterson.

This triangle is crazy. Everyone at each other over 3 fighters all in different divisions. Bring floyd into it and there's 4 divisions.
I'm not a huge fan of any of them really, I like the lower divisions more i guess, but reading that article it just pretty much made sense to me. I don't really see what all the drama is about.

You have been watching boxing many years I believe. I'm surprised you can't see this - I think you don't want to see this.

Being the A side is not based just on your achievements, in fact it is mostly based not on your achievements - it's based on your financial pulling power (FPP). This is clear because Chavez' FPP is way beyond his achievement record.

Chavez and Froch had that FPP in 2013 and 2014. They were never going to take a difficult fight against Golovkin and come down from 168. NEVER - it is clear. Golovkin might possibly have liked to fight them at 164 too but it was never mentioned by Team GGG because it was never a possibility.

With Ward it's debatable if he has ever had FPP. Maybe after he just won the SuperSix. So Team GGG saying the fight is even split but at 164 is all about kicking the diva out of Ward. You can have even split at 164 OR, and this will come later when team Golovkin is good and ready for it, we'll fight at 168 but the split is heavily in favor of GGG.
