You do know Ward already fought and beat Froch, years ago... before GGG wanted to fight him. Clowning on Wards resume while backing GGG, you really don't know **** about boxing lol.Comment

Sad part is Paul smith would do more for GGG resume than wards when you think about. Smith was coming off two defeats for a world title vs a top SMW, Monroe was in his first title fight and made less money than smith in the process.Comment

ward isn't fighting on that undercard anyway so drop that.why are you talking about facts then go on to make **** up such as ward selling out in oakland that never happened.if anything ward's popularity is going down not up.8,000 in Oakland is better than 500 for Rigo. And again, he's American, speaks English, earned a gold medal and... is already more well known than Rigo. So again, him being on the Cotto/Canelo undercard, if it were to happen, will get him more exposure than GGG having his own PPV.
Why all of you get offended is beyond me. Facts actually piss you people off as if I'm the one making these undercards or rules about how many people are going to watch which fights lol.Comment

What lie? He said it sound reasonable.
It's not like I'm bringing up the time he said he'd go up to LHW for a big fight and then 9 months later has the LHW champ come down to 168lbs.
http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id...ely-time-beingGoing up to light heavyweight for the right fight -- not to campaign up there, but for the right fight -- is an option. -Andre Ward 12/21/2011
Or how today he's saying
Fighting at 172 is just to see how my body feels. Where is the safest place for me to be, is it 168...can I go up to 175? I know its a piece that some may not care about, but it's a piece that I have to look at from my standpoint, because once I go up to 175 I'm not going to be a super middleweight fighting at 175. I'm going to be a full-fledged light heavyweight and there is no coming down. -Andre Ward 6/15/2015WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs) is less than week away from his scheduled return. Ward, who's been out of the ring since November 2013, is back in the ring on June 20th against Paul Smith at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. The fight will headline Roc Nation Sports' first televised event on BET. Ward is returning on a new network, with a new promoter, and a rugged opponent. But, most fans are more fixated on Ward's return weight. The fight with Smith is taking place at a catch-weight of 172-pounds.
Ward is the biggest hypocrite in the sport. Rejected Bute & Stevenson because they needed to prove themselves, today says MW Golovkin needs to prove himself so they should fight. Says Chavez Jr is a tough fight, 4 months later says Froch is taking an easy option trying to fight Chavez.Last edited by Eastcoast; 08-20-2015, 04:10 PM.Comment

People buy too much into the lies of the GGG camp . Bottom line is this , GGG and team claim they was begging for this fight in the past , but it was during the time of Wards contractual stifling and there was never a catch weight ever mentioned as they clearly understood they would need to go to 168 for Ward . As soon as Ward comes out of his contractual confinement , u then here nothing from the GGG camp . So Ward calls them out and says I'm ready now let's rock then the GGG camp knowing they never really wanted any piece of Ward to begin with say : ok 50/50 split but only at 164 . They realized that since his come back fight was at 172 he probably may be having some trouble making 168 and therefore they knew 164 was an impossibility . They claim to be the A-side but have used Wards name non-stop to continue the hype and hoopla awhile finding ingenious ways to avoid him = THEY WEAVE SOME SPECTACULAR SPINComment

Then why doesn't GGG demand to be the A-side for Chavez jr then. He's actually outsold Chavez in terms of arenas and has done just as much viewership when they were on HBO. Even now he can dominate negotiations. But somehow his side continue to say jr is the a side by the same logic they're using to call themselves the a side vs Ward.Comment

Same reason Alvarez had to concede to Cotto. Alvarez is the A-side economically, but he's also favored to win. Cotto needs to be paid to take a likely defeat and Alvarez goes along with it because even as a B-side to Cotto, he's still making more than he would as an A-side to someone else. Then why doesn't GGG demand to be the A-side for Chavez jr then.
