GGG is in a lotta threads. The ones about a potential fight between he and Ward tend to me the most popular, by far.

        Cotto/Manny 1.5 million
        Cotto/Marg II 600k
        Cotto/Marg I 500k
        Cotto/Mosley 450k

As far as Alvarez for someone who's been on countless Floyd (1 mill) ppvs, headline the 3rd largest ppv event, and his only ppv headliners are 1/3 of that, I wouldn't call that successful, not to mention canelo Kirkland was paired with the mayweather-pacquiao re-air
As of today, during the course of their negotiations, Alvarez was the bigger economic draw. He can draw as much against Lara and Angulo as Cotto can in a MW title fight vs Martinez. Alvarez/Mayweather didn't just edge out Cotto/Mayweather, it did 700k more buys.

The fact that Alvarez/Kirkland was paired with May/Pac has been discussed in long detail. The May/Pac replay did horrible and HBO seen a million viewer boost after that fight for Alvarez/Kirkland.

Simply put; there's currently a larger Canelo Mexican fanbase than there is an overall Cotto fanbase.

Then why didn't they get a favorable holiday, a weight he wanted, and a bigger rumored money split ? Canelo is the one with HBO deal and the bigger promoter currently. They are fighting on mostly cotto terms but they are the money maker ? Lmao how does that make sense ?

Money's part of the equation. G needs a more substantial opponent. This is a bigger pond than he's used to. Rhetoric doesn't matter, he's not getting Ward without an even split. That's all there is to it.

              • I agree with Team Golovkin.

Gennady can be the A-side if that is sooo important to him.

In hindsight, historians will likely agree.....

that Golovkin was the A-side compared to all of the bums that he fought.

How can you back pulling rank, when your guy is always bottom of the barrel when in the same situation?

Also, please don't compare accolades of Bradley and Ward. In the pros and the amateurs Wards career has been leaps and bounds greater than Bradley.
Why is Ward so far ahead? Bradley has belts in 2 divisions, including unifying 140. His best scalp is JMM (if you exclude the Pac robbery), which is better than Froch. His resume is just as deep, given that Wards 3rd best win is AA or Bika or some other mediocre SMW

GGG already stated that he would move 4lbs north to make the fight. Ward cant make 164 and who knows if he can even make 168 since he's now fighting at 172. If both fighters were able to meet somewhere in the middle without either fighter having to make much of a weight sacrifice, then the fight would have more legitimacy.
... Ward was 173.5 with three weeks to go till the Paul Smith fight. Keep the workouts intense in the gym for that three weeks, and he comfortably sweats those five pounds off.

                    no need to be dumb
