    Double standards, much?

I firmly believe you do not need to move up in weight class to prove your greatness. If you're a dominant figure at your natural weight, then stick with it if you'd like. GGG and Ward do not need to move weight classes if they don't feel like it. I can respect that, but what I can't respect is when people claim GGG is a, "***** for not moving up" yet they ignore the fact that Ward is in the same situation.
The difference is GGG and his fans claim everyone is ducking him and he can't get a fight with a top quality opponent. So calling on him to fight ward is to solve this issue. It's not just about that he said he'd fight anyone from 154-168.

    • All talk of a Ward/ggg fight should be put to rest. When team ggg was presented an opportunity to prove greatness (Ward fight), they insisted on a catch weight Ward can't possibly make. This killed the fight. It's a fight team ggg clearly doesn't want

        Word bruvva.

Ward should fight Kovalev then, you know...since he just fought at LHW

There is no difference. Ward complains about the same thing. He just recently claimed Froch was ducking him, even though Froch had an offer for him which he declined. And he has yet to comment on the GGG offer. And has yet to comment of Kovalev who has been vocal about wanting to fight Ward.

Kovalev Ward is a PPV fight. Why is he not jumping at this?

And the hypocrisy of calling GGG an over hyped can crusher but yet fans need to find an undefeated champion a weight division above his to challenge him....obviously he isn't all hype if that's how far you have to go to find him a challenge.

At least they made an offer. Ward has not made an offer and has been all talk.

That is a flat out lie dude. Ward fans and ward are not whining about being ducked by everyone. HBO markets GGG as the most avoided blah, blah, blah.

GGG needs someone quality on his resume, Ward has that. Ward gives GGG what his fans, his team, and HBO say he lacks-someone not afraid to fight him. STop trying to defelect to Kov/Ward, which ward and his team have directly addressed.

I can't speak to others opinion of GGG. IMO he is a very good fighter who I would like to see step up and finally face a top flight opponent.

As a GGG fan, aren't you tired of seeing him easily KO opponents that come in as huge underdogs?

If GGG fights Canelo next, would you consider that a quality opponent?

I think that would be a good step up, but Canelo isn't Ward. GGG is being mentioned as possibly the best once Floyd leaves. beating Canelo doesn't get you that, I'd think we can agree.

The point is most posters asking for a ward/GGG fight are doing so based on what GGG, his team and his fans say are everyone ducking him.

deflecting to a potential ward and kov fight doesn't change the fact GGG still will not have a top quality name on his resume.

I think people are mentioning he'd be the best after floyd because of the way in which he destroys his opponents. He fights guys that Martinez struggled with like Macklin and Murray and crushes them. If he were to fight Canelo and beat him up and knock him out, it would look more impressive than Floyd's win over Canelo even though Floyd was masterful in a shutout.

I want a Ward GGG fight at 168 because I don't want to hear any catchweight excuses after. I dislike all the unfair hate GGG is getting. He is not ducking. It would be ****** to move up in weight to fight Ward now when you can get Canelo/cotto next. It's the same approach Ward has. He'd rather fight Gennady first instead of Kovalev so he doesn't have to move up and then come back down in weight.

I think it eventually happens though.

He is beating up weak opponents, not the kind that would get other fighters not getting a push from HBO ranked p4p.

GGG isn't getting "unfair hate". He is being held to his words and having his resume analyzed, standard for NSB.

Sadly, there is a group of ******ed GGG (ex Manny) fans that for years have called everything a "duck" or someone a "coward". Posters are just viewing GGG through the same lens they view other fighters.

Ward, again, isn't the one complaining about constantly being ducked. ALso, GGG was willing to do exactly that-go up and come back down-for Froch or Chavez so its hard to then say now it would be a bad move.
