Triple G is going to turn from KO sensation to Cherry-Pick-Sensation very soon...

Then he's going to what move up and fight Ward at 35 at 168? Probably still won't happen... as he'll probably be able to take a tune up at 168 also...

Triple G's camp is banking on him landing Canelo.. (Cotto will demand at least 157 catch weight if not more and ask for a much bigger split)..

If Triple G doesn't land Canelo.. he'll pretty much still have no recognizable name..Lemiuex doesn't count.he's been exposed himself..

Triple G KOing Ward changes everything..he becomes a top-3 lb for lb guy if not 1 after Mayweather retires...
For the most part I agree. Right now, Andre Ward is the defining fight for GGG. And the fact that his team is doing everything possible to avoid it speaks volumes.

BTW, you're far from a fav of mine on here. But kudos for keeping it real on the GGG deal.

In what kind of fantasyland do you live that you think Ward is a defining fight? Where is Ward ranked, where does Ward sell tickets and where does Ward have fans?

If ward becomes a draw somehow and has an exciting fight in the next 12 months then that could change.

The fight is only demanded by the bunch of GGG haters and everyone with at least a pinch of boxing knowledge knows this fight makes zero sense when Ward is irrelevant and has to give away tickets for free.

Ward needs GGG badly, GGG doesnt need Ward, not until he is unified MW champ and has faced Canelo, a fight that has to happen next year and is beyond everything a Ward fight can ever hope to be. Stop being in denial.

Get out of your basement for once and actually go to a Ward fight, that would actually have an impact of your idols popularity. The trash talk here is irrelevant and might have a negative impact, if at all.

GGG has a unification fight coming up on HBO PPV, who is Ward fighting next, Marco Antonio Rubio @170 on QVC?

Ward would have more viewers on QVC than GGG is getting on PPV.

If Ward nor GGG ever fight again, who goes down in history as the better fighter?

SOG is the truth....nobody besides Krusher can come close to putting a wrinkle on his record or resume imo....so Mister 164 can play diva with SOG and get away with it...but Cotto is a mutha****in BOSS...so Mister 164 will weigh in at whatever weight the BOSS wants him to...end of story!!

I am happy that GGG and Mohammedi are out of the picture. Now Ward can move to 175 permanently and fight Kovalev in Russia next. That will assure him immortality. Oh, wait....

Canelo beating Cotto is what's good for Boxing.

Cotto clearly has reached his peak and is now just cashing out with some smart match making. And he has already fought everyone.

We need Canelo to win this fight and then we will see how he reacts towards a Golovking mandatory challenge waiting in the wings, especially since he doesn't like fighting runners like lara .
