its not up to ggg. wbc is letting cotto fight canelo first as long as the winner fights ggg. ggg is cotto's mandatory and mandatory fights have to be fought at the full weight limit. if cotto doesn't like it he can drop the belt and go down. he fought martinez at 159 but he can't fight ggg at 160? duck duck duck

if ggg was a super middle weight champ right now and refused to fight ward while fighting lemiuex at 162 or some garbage then he would be the equivalent to cotto but your love for cotto has blinded you. its kinda sweet.

He's gonna have to if he beats Canelo. The B1tch won't fight him any other way.

On the other hand, cotto or canelo would be the wbc middleweight champion, and GGG is their mandatory. If either of them tries to impose their catchweight on their MANDATORY,and the negotiations fall apart, they get stripped and golovkin automatically becomes the full champion, without having to fight any bum for the title. Either way,ggg becomes champion, and cotto or canelo are know as the guys who would rather drop their title, rather than face their mandatory opponent.
Let's pretend to be real fight fans for a minute. You know, fight fans that don't need corrupt belt organizations telling them who's the best. I mean, Kovalev is fighting some clown tonight that's a 45-1 underdog, that some belt organization says is the #1 contender. That lets up know how big a joke these belts are. But let's pretend to be real fight fans for a minute. Corrupt, meaningless belts and fanboy nuthuggery aside. GGG hit the scene as a monster willing to fight anyone from 54-68. His actions have shown that the only fighter he's willing to come down to 154 for is a natural welterweight, who's damn near 40yrs old. There's no big names in his home middleweight division, so he expressed a willingness to go to 168. But, when the best fighter at 168 came calling, he demands a catchweight. But, he didn't demand a catchweight for lesser fighters in the division. Then, because of some unusual circumstances, a natural jr middleweight us the middleweight champion. He's got a big event with another natural jr middleweight. But, to add some ****e to the event, they're gonna fight at 155 so it can be for the "middleweight title." GGG wants the winner, who's naturally smaller. But, he's not willing to meet at a catchweight against a smaller guy, where he justt requested one a couple days ago against a bigger one. That's hypocrisy at its finedt my friend.

and trust me is gg was a former 140/welter i'd totally understand...and ggg didnt petition to get his shot he said he was fine with step aside doe so the wbc was fine with it as well..he cares nothing about that title he cares about that name and hepisses me off letting his camp lie to us

Canelo will stop that diva cotto and GGG vs Canelo will take place at the Middleweight limit as long as GGG doesn't make oscar **** his pants when he brutalizes Lemiux. Lemiux got beat by Rubio. Just pointing that out there.

why is cotto fighting at middleweight if he's not a middleweight. you can make this "he's too small" excuse for the rest of his career if he stays in his catchweight division. either go down to 154 or stop pretending he's the middlweight champ. is ggg pretending he's the super middleweight champ right now? no. so stop bringing up false equivalencies.

they are both champs in the same division therefore they should fight. ggg is cotto's mandatory therefore they should fight. if ward and ggg were both champs in the same division they should fight. if ward was ggg's mandatory then they should fight. and if that were the case and you were consistent you would start making excuses for ggg saying ggg is a natural middleweight he shouldn't have to fight ward at the full weight limit. you would say something silly like ward and ggg are fighting at 164 to "add ****e"

Let's try and drain Ward cause we think we're the "A side" but Cotto isn't allowed to do the same to us even tho he's the "A side".

I know the WBC frequently ignores its own rules but the best I can say to you is that you have things way out of proportion if you think that might happen.
