The reality was ward warned ggg and his team dont pretend you will fight everyone at 168 unless u mean it. dont bring up my name unless you intend to fight. now roc nation is trying to make the fight and team ggg is trying to save face by demanding a weight they know ward cant do. I could even understand 166 but 164 in my opinion is a weight they know 100% that ward will refuse which in return means they have no intention on fighting him i mean thats hard to refute. People can try to compare it to other fighters or ward fighting dawson but the reality is ggg is willing to fight everyone at 168 except ward. Nothing changes that and now roc nation is genuinely trying to make the fight and now team ggg is cornered. I look at this from my perspective but i dont hate ggg i just very much want to see ward vs ggg. I think its by far the best fight boxing has to offer. I want to see ward kovalev i want to see ggg canelo i want them all but the absolute best fight with the 2 best fighters is ggg ward period. The good thing about this is now its to the point where ward and ggg will be constantly bombed with questions and they wont be able to say there is no fight im going to fight this cab driver. I just want to see ward ggg thats the bottom line it would be amazing

most of the posters here can't say **** about GGG, their favorites fighters have requested CWs too. that said,i want him to fight at 168 vs Ward, i still think he can make it competitive nonetheless

I guess Andre Ward will have to continue his course of fighting on BET with low ratings against guys who aren't even top 15 SMW's in front comp'd crowds while he loses his promoters millions of dollars because a MW won't move up 8lbs to fight him.


In the meantime y'all be sure to order the Golovkin/Lemieux ppv! Going to be a fun fight. And next year you can order the Golovkin/Alvarez ppv. By then Ward will have retired w/o ever moving up to fight Kovalev.

If GGG's a fraud then what's Ward? He refused a 170lbs CW with Dawson after bragging he'd go up to LHW for the 'right' fight. If the #1 guy at LHW who's coming off a win over Hopkins isn't the right fight, what is?

Going up to light heavyweight for the right fight -- not to campaign up there, but for the right fight -- is an option.

Right... Even Hershman (who protected Ward during the Super Six and took him to HBO) left him in the limbo... Hershman got eventually fed up with Ward's unprofessional career moves... Well, Ward will continue to fight on BET as HBO doesn't need other Paul Smith fights...

some ppl must very ****** not to realize that GGG makes a huge concession by offering such terms to Ward. I'd rather believe that you are pretending to be ******. You would rather die than give some credit to GGG finding all types of excuses. I can't understand what's the problem of meeting them in the middle at 164? U afraid that you would have to shut up and disappear from the forum after your last hope would get KTFO?

if Ward rejects the offer it is a duck. I don't mind GGG going up in weight to 168 but after he unifies the 160 and either fights cotto/canelo winner or ultimately exposes them. Once he decides to challenge 168 there is no way back to 160.

Roc lost $2 million on Andre's last fight and are not going to pay through the nose for him to fight GGG, which wouldn't be a big earner for them right now.
