Ward would fight Floyd at 160 and already agreed to 164.

Do you want to see the fight or not?

Let's go Ward: no more Rodriguez and Paul Smith...

Triple G has to fight those type of guys...Ward goes out of his way to fight those guys...

    Difference...
All those guys you mentioned have earned their stripes, whilst, Golovkin hasn't done jack ****, other than knockout bums, to call the shots.

    • Come on GGG...do something great!!!!! Take over the #1 pound for pound spot after Floyd retires!!

Oh I forgot. That requires actually taking risks. Nevermind disregard my comment.

        1. We have never asked fighters to drop weight to prove their greatness.

        2. Ward isnt the one who's greatness needs validation.

        3. This is all just a set up, meaning next they will tell Ward that he refuses 164, they will ask for more then 50/50. Clear as day.

So this is what it was all about. You can't defend Cotto for avoiding his mandatory, and voila - here comes Ward as a savior. The difference is - Cotto holds a belt in the same division with GGG, Ward and GGG are 8 lbs apart.

            • Well kids, after all the big talk your hero is not only going back on his word, he's straight ducking. Ward has the balls to go up in weight to fight Kovalev next year, why can't Genady man up and do the same by fighting Ward now?

              • The hypocrites on this site are absolutely ridiculous.

Golovkin is willing to go to 168 for everyone except Andre Ward. That's a punk move, no matter what excuse you want to make for him. Andre Ward is exposing Golovkin without ever stepping in the ring with him.

Be consistent. If it's a b*tch move for Mayweather to fight at a CW, or for Cotto to fight at a CW, then it's a b*tch move for Golovkin to only want a CW for Ward. At least Cotto has a consistent position and admits that he's trying to gain an advantage. The nuthuggers on NSB are whipping back and forth like a leaf whenever team Golovkin talks and the wind gusts in a different direction. If they come out tomorrow and say "No catchweight for Cotto or Alvarez!" you'll all say Cotto and Alvarez are cowards for wanting one.

                  • Ward did this to himself. He sat out for almost two years, and he decided to stay at 168 rather than announcing a move to 175. Ward can fight 168, but he cannot make 164? I find that difficult to believe. GGG has stated that he'd cut to 154 for Mayweather, and as Ward is younger than GGG, I believe that he can cut to 164. If not, then Ward can chow down and face Sergey at 175. GGG is the greater draw at present, and as Ward has never been much of a draw, he's in no position to be setting the conditions. It's the ugly truth, but it's Ward's fault and his alone.

                    • i truly believe some of this fighters have accounts on boxingscene. both, ward and ggg, sound a lot like the posters who defend each of them in this board
