Comments Thread For: Golovkin on Andre Ward: I Want Him, 50-50 on Weight

Golovkin is a middleweight title holder. Lemieux is a middleweight title holder. Golovkin has stated more times than can be listed that his PRIMARY GOAL IS TO UNIFY ALL THE TITLES AT MIDDLEWEIGHT. Therefore it makes much more sense to take a unification fight than to **** around with his weight to fight a has been who is desperately in need of a name fighter to fight. There will also be more money in the Lemieux fight than in a Ward fight at this time. There are 2 possible fights to choose from Lemeuix @160 or Ward @ 168. If he chooses Lemuiz its taking the easier fight.
This would be fine, accept you and a lot of others have defined "challenging yourself" as the mark of a great fighter. You've cited "moving up in weight" as an indicator of prowess. You've demeaned catchweights, as something that shows fear.
I hope you can understand why posters are hitting GGG hard if he fights lemuix or Ward @164.
Anyone who cannot understand any of those points is a total fool and if they continue to bring up the same points over and over again, I will find a place for them on my ignore list as they are simply too ****** to bother reading any more of their posts.
That statement was made over three years ago, before GGG had even been in the ring once in the US. You obviously are too ****** to understand this or simply DKSAB. Either way, welcome to my ignore list.
And Hopkins is 50 and still fighting. You make it seem like Golovkin only has a year or two left in his career. He has many good years remaining to him, more than enough time to achieve his unification goal at 160 and then move up and do the same at 168 if that is where he wishes to go. Fans of the sport can either enjoy watching his fights into the future or they are welcome to ignore him and find someone with a skin tone and ethnic origin more suited to their personal preference and ignorance.Comment

Unfortunately, they are not ******, they are willfully ignorant. Basically they are little more than trolls and are finding a spot on my ignore list one after the other. They are simply not worth the aggravation they cause me. I look at it as my own way of moderating the board seeing as the mods here do such a crappy job of it.Comment

the contradiction is that he'll fight two other SMW at the full limit of 168 lbs...
but when it comes to Ward, who beat Froch & is hands down better than Chavez Jr... it has to be at 164 lbs...
even when he previously stated anyone from 154-168.
He picks Monroe Jr over Lara cuz Monore is "more known" than Lara.
I just don't get how you can't see that they are full of shit.Comment

Did he fight at 164 just yet?... He din't...payback time?!?
the focus should and will stay on Mister 164....his team are the ones talking reckless about being avoided....Ward is by far the more ACCOMPLISHED fighter of the two....Ward has decisively beaten ALL the Euros in the S6....he mugged a drained lineal LHW champ at 168(the only knock on his resume) but it was Chad's choice to come down....he WANTED Ward bad but didn't realize what it would cost to get the fight...Chad's mistake not Ward's
Again, the focus must remain on Mister 164...it's only fair
But you seem to know something, which unfortunately it suits to your "boys" -- who just fought at 142 or 172... Make the difference: your boys are not just planning to fight at catch weights, but they actually fought recently at catch weights!
So you should be silent on this one...

Can Lara fight on HBO? Has there been any movement on that front? Have Lara's people contacted HBO or K2 in the attempt to set up a fight? Has Haymon given his blessing to one of his stars to fight on HBO? Are you simply just another troll who I should put on my ignore list because you are demonstrating your ignorance by ignoring the hundreds of posts answering you comment about Lara in the past?the contradiction is that he'll fight two other SMW at the full limit of 168 lbs...

So many questions, none of which you seem able to answer.

A year ago GGG's trainer was giving us a lot of mouth, " Triple G will fight anyone at 154 - 167lbs". Now Ward's back in the game they've changed their tune to 50/50 on weight. It's doesn't sound like confidence to me, more like trying to weight drain Ward. Fight at 167 or STFU.Comment

He would have had the same judges and the same crowd London as in Nottingham.
The fight didn't happen because neither of them wanted it by then.Comment

Please dont compare GGG to aliving legend like Hopkins. They arent even in the same realm. And Hopkins is 50 and still fighting. You make it seem like Golovkin only has a year or two left in his career. And what was up with the racial undertone shot at the end there. I have noticed you are starting to get like this and its a shame.
At 33/34 the man has fought no one so yes it something to take notice ofComment
