Remember when the Golovkin fans were saying that Ward couldn't make 168 any more because of his fight with Smith at 172?
Now, it's "164 is fair doe!"

... So, Ward is entitled to take it or leave it.
Originally posted by MC Hammer View PostWard is getting 2 million a fight regardless. It hurts GGG because he looks like a fraud. He is this feared fighter that put 154-168 on call, but when the biggest possible fight that he can make right now presents itself he throws up roadblocks. The bold is what it comes down to. He scared of the talent, not of the fight, but just of the loss.

if Ward rejects the offer it is a duck. I don't mind GGG going up in weight to 168 but after he unifies the 160 and either fights cotto/canelo winner or ultimately exposes them. Once he decides to challenge 168 there is no way back to 160.
P.S. So far everything goes by the plan. Let's enjoy the show my friends, and see who is number one in the game!

Double standard here. Kellerman would never ask the Pampered Princess Ward if he'd go down to 160 to fight GGG.
Ward said he'd beat a Klitschko. He said he'd fight anyone at 175 if the money were right.

I could even understand 166 but 164 in my opinion is a weight they know 100% that ward will refuse which in return means they have no intention on fighting him i mean thats hard to refute. People can try to compare it to other fighters or ward fighting dawson but the reality is ggg is willing to fight everyone at 168 except ward. Nothing changes that and now roc nation is genuinely trying to make the fight and now team ggg is cornered. I look at this from my perspective but i dont hate ggg i just very much want to see ward vs ggg. I think its by far the best fight boxing has to offer. I want to see ward kovalev i want to see ggg canelo i want them all but the absolute best fight with the 2 best fighters is ggg ward period. The good thing about this is now its to the point where ward and ggg will be constantly bombed with questions and they wont be able to say there is no fight im going to fight this cab driver. I just want to see ward ggg thats the bottom line it would be amazing
Obviously, that changed everything. As Ward himself said, moving up then back down is not an option.
Also, I don't believe that Roc are trying to make the fight right now. This info came from an unnamed source, so how do we know if it's even true?
