Golovkin never bombed at MSG. The troll you're responding to has a habit of making things up.

Almost as impressive were the announced attendance figures: Golovkin drew 8,572 fans, exceeding the goal of 7,500 his team had set for him.

“We were happy with the attendance,” said Tom Loeffler, managing director of K2 Promotions, which handles Golovkin and scaled the Garden’s arena to just over 10,000 seats.

    • Let's not get confused what Ward said at the end of that ESPN video because I think it is only a suggestion of what going to happen next in reality. The main point is they are both ready to fight each other right away and let's just wait who hold true to their words.

Ward has been saying this for the last week. Yet, we haven't heard a single word of response from Tom Loefler or anyone in GGG's camp.

Now that there is nothing that is preventing the fight from happening, we see the truth, which is no one in GGG's camp ever wanted him to fight Andre Ward.

Team Golovkin thought they were going to sell out the big room at MSG.

Only after ticket sales started to bomb did they claim this make believe "goal"

And they've never returned to the venue! I wonder why!

          • I want this fight but Ward needs to stop acting like he's the A side, he's not a star so he'll have abide by K2/HBO terms if he truly wants the fight.

If Golovkin and his people changed their mind and are saying yes now, fine. Get it on then. Stop this ****** bickering.
He was talking **** recently, about how GGG was ducking him back then. Turns out it was Ward that said no to HBO, he didn't even bother denying. And GGG didn't even air this in public till Ward started his media offensive a few months back, which he's now complaining about, all that bickering in the media lol. Par for the course.

Like I said earlier, $50 PPV x 300k buys = $15 million dollars [and I think this PPV does well over 500k buys]. However, even @ 300k buys, that's $7.5 million in the pot. The Ward fight is EASILY Bum-love-kin's biggest payday by a factor of 2.

If this fight doesn't happen then is should be painfully obvious who's ducking here...
Dude Cotto-Martinez did 350k and Pacquiao-Algieri did 400k, two PPV fighters.

These are two non PPV fighters, do you really think it would do "well" over 500k buys? lol. Ward isnt a draw and GGG most certainly isnt the draw hes being made out to be. He has good viewers because he fights on HBO, and hes fighting in small venues.

This fight would be lucky to see 300k buys.

It bombed because they would be lucky to break even with the how much it costs to hold an event there.
