Why I respect and pay for every Kevin Johnson fight, he's one of the few guys that truly understand the importance of defending.

I don't know casual fans are funny. Most of them think they actually know how to fight whereas in other sports none of them think they can hit the 95 mph slider from a pro pitcher or dunk over LeBron.
Boxing is what it is. Good fights and bad ones. Just like 1-0 baseball games, defensive masterpieces in football etc.
I think the problem sometimes casuals think it's like a movie where you get hit and it doesn't hurt or you can just amp up the power pellets to dispatch your foe or neutralize someone way faster and more skilled than you by sheer will.
I think casual fans and some hardcore ones often have unrealistic expectations surrounding boxing whereas they don't in other sports.

The problem with some hardcore fans is that think they're smarter than they truly are.
The sweet science is not hit and not get hit. The saying goes "the sweet science of bruising" funny how so many of them leave that out.
And let's not forgot the only way to win s boxing match back in the day was to knock your opponent out, meaning you had to engage.
Watching a boring fight just to say you're a real boxing fan is ****** and childish. I've seen several fights that displayed the true meaning of the Sweet Science.
Morales vs MAB
Manny vs Marquez
Duran vs Leonard
Manny vs Morales
Hearns vs Leonard
Fuq watching two fighters doing more thinking than punching. This **** ain't fencing.

True boxing is to hit and not get hit. And when you make your opponent miss you make him pay for that miss. That's true boxing. It's not run and get on your bike to not get hit, then occasionally hit a the guy back. That's not boxing, it's running.
Like I said true boxing is to hit then make you opponent miss and then make him pay for missing. That's what I like.Last edited by boxinghead530; 07-16-2015, 07:54 PM.

As for the risks... I was at Leonard - Duran 1 and saw Cleveland Denny get beaten to a pulp by Gaetan Hart first hand. I am very aware of the risks.

Floyd sells more than anyone else. All of this thing about everyone thinks hes boring, well that same everyone buys his fights more than anyone else. Maybe the majority of those buys are by people that want to see him lose, but whatever he is doing is working. If you guys hate him so much then dont buy his fights.
