Is it now safe to say that Mayweather is the greatest fighter of his generation?

  • No the guy who lost in the beginning, middle and end of his career is greater. The guy who lost decisively to his two biggest rivals is greater. The guy who lost the biggest fight of his career is greater.

    The butthurt is real

The guy who took the fights when he should of is better. Losing doesnt mean anything, SRL lost, Ali lost, Hagler lost at the begining and end of his career so what?

Floyd lost against castillo, so it dont matter when you lose. Floyd has cherry picked his whole career and not taking challenges he should, and only take fights for money and legacy you cant be candidate for the best, and hes still like that.
Just fight GGG already at middlweight.

You have predicted him to lose against several opponents that he beat. Your posts several months ago were begging Floyd to fight Manny. You were super confident that Manny would beat Floyd. After he fights Manny it's not a good win and it's time for him to fight GGG. He took the fight at the "right time." Dude what the hell do you mean? You were even asking for the fight and confident that Manny would win?!!?

              You have psychological problems.

The part that kills me is that Pac won fighter of the decade for beating a bunch of guys that Floyd beat first. Then when it came time to prove himself against Floyd he ducked the fight in 2009. Manny literally says that he "turned the fight down" in 2009 in the "At Last" documentary yet it's somehow Floyd's fault that the fight didn't come off in 2009.

                • I'll say Floyd is the greatest fighter post the year 2000. People keep asking "what do you mean by generation?" and "what's a generation?" then mention fighters who were top fighters in the late 90s, ala Roy Jones, but haven't been top fighters in a long time.

If you look at the year 2000 to today (2015) you have to say Floyd is easily the best/ most accomplished fighter of the last 15 years. He's won more titles, fought more champions, broke more financial records than any other active fighter and has done so while remaining undefeated.

So yes, Floyd is the best fighter of his generation.

Are you sure i predicted Pac to beat Floyd? Its not about who i think will win. Floyd was favourite as Pac had been ko'ed by JMM.
Floyd doesnt take the fights when he should. He should fight GGG at middleweight.
Being favourite against a guy smaller than you coming off of a ko to JMM doesnt make you the best of a generation! Doing things the experts dont think you can do make you the best.
Floyd is a businessman, and by that you cant be the best of a generation.
Floyd is always in his comfort zone, and not taking risks, in trying to make people realize he is better than people think. People made Lacy favourite against JC, so being made favourite dont mean nothing. Has Floyd ever been favourite against someone as good as JC? He has, Pac, but Pac is smaller than Floyd. Time for Floyd to beat someone people dont think he can. Then we can all say Floyd is better than even i thought he was.

You know you are an ultimate fanboy when you say his quotes.

Plus I have a question why do you fanboys care so much where his ranking lays and always try to get validation for his greatness.

Just let it go. Floyd is one of the best of his generation and just leave it at that. Is there question marks in his career, absolutely but you can question every ATG out there. Well with the exception of SRR.
