Ward being scared is BS. He just wasn't ready to fight. Why are people so desperate to put thoughts into fighter's heads to justify their own narrative? They are buying into a bunch of BS. Ward and Glolovkin will fight when the time is right.

      • Proof's in the pudding, son. Ward fighting once a year or longer ain't gettin it done. It's why you and his momma are his last fans. Hang in there.

Yes he is. First it was all Goosens fault he couldnt get a big fight or fight period. He lost the law suit 4 times? Now its GGG and his teams fault for ducking Ward. Who is not only at a different weight class, doesnt have a big enough name for Ward to want to fight him, and Ward hasnt set foot in a ring in 2 years. Why is he even talking about this? He should be telling everyone to tune in to his fight with Paul Smith right after the Sanford and Son rerun

not sure if you're being sarcastic here but paul smith is certainly not an 'up-n-comer' - more of a 'never-was'

his brothers callum and liam look decent though

See? You don't need to fight in your home town to have "home advantage", if your opponent is from a different country.
froch definitely had as many if not more fans than groves in wembley

Geale had trouble making 160. Three less pounds is losing a lot of good weight. Here's what 3 lbs of meat looks like...

Even losing half of that then replacing it with 20 lbs of water the next day will take a huge toll on a fighter.

As for GGG taking a loss, his team says they're not afraid of it. Who cares how some of his fans feel about it?

And, yes, Andre Ward is not ducking anyone. He does however try to give himself every advantage he can. Nothing wrong with that.

yes, sarcasm intended. sorry. I will watch the fight out of curiosity. Ward will likely look good. Not sure what that indicates against a guy like Smith.

If the 3lbs didn't make a difference, then why did Cotto insist on fighting at 157, instead of 160, knowing the **** he would get for doing that?

Clearly, Cotto and Roach knew the CW was critical, even if you don't, otherwise it wouldn't have been in place.

Another thing - Geale was coming off a devastating KO defeat, which is not ideal preparation for a title attempt. Who was that guy who KTFO of Geale and softened him up for Cotto?

Couldn't agree more. I think Geale regretted agreeing to the catchweight. And out of resentment took a bit of a dig at Cotto for it after the fight when asked about a potential GGG/Cotto matchup. He said he'd love to see it and that it'd be a good fight. I think he knows damn well Cotto wants no part of GGG.

True, but Groves still told Froch before the fight "You are coming to my city now"

And Froch said several times that he was looking forward to KO'ing Groves in his own home town, in front of his own people.
