Difference is, the middleweight division is f.uck'n pathetic, maybe the worst division in boxing. And wiping it out only becomes a priority when it comes to fighting Ward. When it comes to a bum like Chavez Jr, a guy he'd be favored against on Froch, or a welterweight in Floyd. GGG is all to willing to abandon his quest for middleweight supremacy. Don't see how that passes the smell test.

it wouldn't be pathetic if everyone fought each other. it actually has more depth than the super middleweight division right now

The division is ****. Cotto isn't even a middleweight. The next best beltholder just went life-n-death with Andy Lee. You got two bums fighting for a vacant belt this weekend on regional Fox TV. The division is complete and utter crap. And for a guy that is supposedly an elite fighter to hang around to fight that level of foe is pathetic. Especially when you have guys like Ward, Froch, and DeGeale a division north.

What determines the greatness or depth of a division? Golovkin is destroying all MWs but the division apparently sucks according to you. Ward's dominated SMW and is elevated by the names he's beaten on his resume, meaning the division was loaded. Klitschko's dominated HW. Are all the other HWs just cans? What if these 3 fighters never existed? What would make one division obviously stronger than another? MW is closer to what the mean weight of a man should be, so in theory it should have the largest pool of potential fighters to draw from. It is statistically weighted to be the strongest division.

GGG has repeatedly said he'd fight Ward and Ward has not been ready, willing or able to fight. Sure Glolovkin will go up or down for big money fights against names who can actually get in the ring. What's so hard to understand?

At 157 not 160. You think Geale was the same fighter GGG fought?

Boxing has always worked on an eye test. And no one in the middleweight division even comes close to resembling an elite fighter to me, any experts, or anyone else that doesn't have GGG's d1ck stuffed down their throat.

As for GGG's willingness to fight Ward......whatever.

                • move down in weight like Dawson moved down in your fight.

What belt holder would that be? You certainly cannot be talking about Quillin because he gave up his belt to avoid Korobov and didn't even make weight in the Lee fight. Lee holds that title at the moment, not Quillin and Quillin is no longer a factor in the MW division, or any other division for that matter.

As for your guys in the division north... Ward is busy fighting Smith and probably will not fight again this year. Froch is choosing to retire instead of fighting GGG and DeGale is not even a consideration and has shown no interest in fighting GGG and it would not be a PPV fight. You guys continue to pull out the same names but not one of them is willing or able to meet GGG in the ring at the present time. Better luck next time.

                    • I think both guys are willing to fight each other but then you add the media, promoters, managers, etc., into it and you get bad information. Its not like either guy is afraid of each other. But Ward may have a bit of trouble making 168 in his next fight. I see it as a decision win for Ward if they fight.
