Here I had previously posted on another thread my breakdown of Cotto's resume and notable fights:

So, Cotto lost to top fighters in their prime(nothing to be ashamed of). He had close fights with good fighters (Mosley, Clottey), his best win is injured Martinez, who looked bad in his last fights its undeniable... And dont bring Torres, Judah and Mallignaggi etc, they have names, but they never beat anybody...

Cotto is so popular not because of his wins, but because he is a Rican and unlike GGG he got opportunity to fight the best. If you look at his resume objectivily, its becomes crystal clear that he never beat a top fighter.

He's defending against geale because its a voluntary. Do I like it, no. Is it understandable, yes.

And why should Cotto stay quiet when the press are the ones who ask him the same questions over and over again?

He's a hypocrite because he questions GGG's opponents while he's scheduled to fight one of those opponents he just pretty much criticized.

That whole "he payed his dues" is pretty ****ing pathetic. People still give Pacquiao/Floyd **** if they fight some no good /hasbeen and they've payed their dues. Queen Cotto should get a pass though, gtfo with that BS.

He fought martinez instead of taking that 10 mil. Thats right he signed a roc nation contract and is gonna be getting 16 mil a fight. Way more than 10 mi. Besides, when he fought rodriguez, wasn't it stated here in nsb that the fight was "accepted only if he fought martinez aftwards"? Something along those lines. And if so, how could Canelo, a showtime specific fighter get a fight with Cotto when cotto had "obligations" after his rodriguez fight?

And Cotto has "obligations" right now called a MANDATORY DEFENSE. But he refuses to honor that obligation. So Cotto is no longer the honorable man he once was, I guess. And this can not be argued as he is proving it to be true by his own actions.
