Does cotto realize that the only bargaining chip that he has at this moment is the lineal middleweight belt that he took from the cripple,and if he doesn't fight GGG,or canelo next,he gets that striped from him. Cotto can talk all he wants,but I honestly see him getting brutally beat up by both canelo and GGG.

Actually I do see the irony. I pointed it out as soon as the fight was made. But its a voluntary and I'm not gonna "go all crazy". Its not gonna affect my life personally. IMO he shoulda went with Heiland or Tureano Johnson for his voluntary defense.

As for Canelo, I'll say the same I said before. How could there be a fight with canelo, as some poster pointed out, that HBO only too the rodriguez fight if Cotto fights Martinez aftwards. So, how could Cotto fight Canelo after the rodriguez fight if canelo was on showtime and Cotto had those obligations to HBO? He took the fight for a 4th world division title over money. On top of that, he's getting more money fighting geale now than what he would get fighting canelo before. And most likely would get even more money fighting canelo next imo.

Also, canelo walked away from negotiations cuz he was upset he couldn't get the mexican date he wanted because Cotto wasn't gonna compete ppvs with floyd.

I don't remember hearing that HBO only approved Rodriguez if they got martinez.

They did that for Geale/Canelo.
