    nothing new

This is nothing new here, One of the reasons Kovalev left Abel Sanchez was because he couldn't get good work in sparring because he kept getting his ass kicked by a guy 25 pounds lighter than him.I don't think we've even seen the best from Golovkin. He's carried his last two opponents to make it more exciting. I don't see Him losing to anybody that's out there right now from 54-68&IMO 75 Also.

You could well possibly be right.
He nearly knocked willie out in 2 and Murray in 4.

Just from watching them fight, Kovalev looks to me to be the harder puncher.

Its more like 15 pds both walking around and on fight night.

I ThInk he is just being nice.

I think the Krusher is a harder puncher with either hand.

It really doesn't matter as they are both great fighters and all around good guys outside the ring. Their fan bases have really grown the last 2 yrs.

Lara's problem is that he's not approved by HBO, just as Sergio Mora wasn't. Add Al PBC Haymon to the mix and it's a non-starter.
Because they did not even consider Lara as an opponent, despite the fact that

                1) Golovkin states that everyone is ducking him
                2) Lara would be Golovkins best win
                3) Lara is prepared to fight him at 160
                4) Golovkin is derided for his poor resume/quality of opposition

You cant say " everyone is ducking me ", and then make excuses, you just cant.

And I dont accept the network excuses, period, never will.

I swore I read somewhere on here that Kovalev took it easy on GGG in sparring and dirty Sanchez said that he didn't want Kovalev to potentially hurt GGG. If those two guys fought and Kovalev hit GGG with the same punches that Monroe did, yeah I don't see GGG still standing after a few rounds.

However those same people assume that Ward will be allowed to hit and hold etc, but if he isn't allowed by the assigned referee then that fight changes massively.
Ward doesnt need to hit-and-hold to beat Golovkin, or anyone else for that matter. He is one of the most well-rounded fighters in the game today, if something doesnt work, he will adapt.

That is a little like the Pacquiao fans insisting that the shoulder-roll will not work on Manny because he happens to be a southpaw..... completely forgetting that Mayweather has mastered every defensive style in the book.

I think Ward is way better than you give him credit for.

Ward likely never fights either, that's my belief.

On Hopkins fighting Kovalev, he didn't want to initially, but Haymon did him dirty and left him without much choice.
Power will not beat Ward, and folks are taking too much from the Hopkins fight.

The only way that Kovalev beats Ward is to beat him with skills, and I cant see that happening.

Hopkins was 50, he did not have to do anything, including fight Kovalev.

Hopkins thought that he could beat Kovalev, but he wasn't sure about Ward.

                      Interesting

Not sure if i believe him though

Although boxers look a hell of a lot worse coming out of the ring after facing Triple G than they do Kov
