Kovalev submits that Golovkin hits harder yet people find someway to spin it into humility?

I think Kovalev is just being polite, if he said the opposite, his words would be twisted and made into something it's not.

Kovalev would knock Gennadyevich out if they fought, the difference in size is major. People need to stop with this sparring nonsense. It's sparring, too many variables for anything to be made of it.

Polite is saying we're both great punchers and we'll see who hits harder whenever we fight in the future.

He was being truthful, as you should with your friends. People need to stop getting it mixed up.

I saw the video of Kovalev saying it, it looked to me like he was just being nice. He obviously likes Golovkin and I very much doubt they fight in the future.

put it this way...they BOTH hit hard and Krusher's comments here makes the topic of who's the bigger puncher of the two DEBATABLE!!...on one side, they're homies and Krusher might be helping his little buddy's hype train out by giving it some extra fuel....on the other side, he COULD be telling the truth...it's very possible Krusher could be keeping it 100....this is a VERY debatable topic...some good posts in this thread as well....good BOXING talk in this thread!!!

now what I feel is NOT debatable is who's the BETTER more SKILLED fighter of the two....Krusher has shown to be the more COMPLETE more SKILLED fighter of the two....he's also fought and beaten better opposition....Krusher is without a doubt a top ten P4P fighter...can't say the same for GGG....he really doesn't deserve to be P4P ranked imo

This from BoxRec, "Kovalev, in the toughest fight of his professional career, dropped former world champion Jean Pascal for the first time in his career in the third round, and then stopped him with two clean right hands to the head in the eighth round"
Why Pascal would say that Froch hits harder than Kovalev is hard to figure when according to Dan Rafael Pascal had never been knocked down before his fight with Kovalev. Nothing in the BoxRec write up of Froch/Pascal indicates that Froch even staggered Pascal - and it went the full 12 rounds to a decision, yet Kovalev stopped Pascal in the eighth. Pascal may well believe that Froch hits harder than Kovalev, but results speak to the truth - Kovalev hits harder than Froch or any other fighter whom Pascal has faced.

That's just sour g****s from Pascal since he almost won a split decision against Froch. There is no way Froch hits harder than Kovalev. You don't even have to feel it to believe it. His punching technique is sloppy, I'm surprised he even Ko's anybody. It's as if he has two left feet or something.

But im sure he has a lot of other attributes though. GGG shouldnt rely solely on his power as he may get found out when he faces the big boys who take punches real well and then dish it out.

But even though i never thought GGG had power like Tyson, he has comparable power to kovalev at the very least. That is good in itself.
Of course he has more then just power. He has proper punch placement and technique. When he comes forward, he isn't just coming forward like some aggressive Mexican brawler whose only amateur experience is the professional fights he had in Mexico when he turned 16.

Not sure who hits harder as both have bone crunching power, but you certainly can't base it solely off the fact that Kovalev is a bit of a larger man.
Plus, how much did they weigh during sparring? Who was the one getting ready for a fight? Was neither guy cutting weight for an upcoming fight? Or was just one of them cutting weight while the other was on his walk-around weight?

Then again, sparring gloves have extra padding on it as you're not meant to knock your partner out or hurt them, but simply work and get rounds in.
