I incorrectly assumed you meant this fight.

You are however crying about the size differential. Are you claiming to never have demanded this fight?

We can pretty much agree it's between Hatton or Marquez, I personally feel it's Marquez but we're all pretty much on the same page in being able to see when he started slipping.

But if Tenma was drowning I would throw him a cinder block and walk away.
      Well damn

That was the most perfect fight ive seen a fighter fought in my life.

Boxrec won't tell you things you obviously don't know about. Gatti was coming off of two impressive wins and the usual contradicting suspects claimed he was boxing better than ever under Mcgirt.

But you would need more than one year of following boxing to understand that.

I think his last fight in his prime was the Hatton fight. He hasn't had the same bounce in his step since then. Even though he was more dominant against Marquez he didn't quite have the same speed he did when he fought Hatton.

I agree that the Gatti fight was Floyd at his absolute peak but he remained prime until the age of 30 and has slowly regressed since then.

Mayweather was in his prime from 03-05....He had the tough fights with Jose Luis Castillo under his belt...his first true close fights...He already had defended his jlw title 8x, and lightweight 3x...when he was at 140 he hurt every single one of them, even if he didn't stop them....He was scary good those years

He had the championship experience along with being in his physical prime and still had the great defense, but he had his killer instinct as well......There is only a handful of fighters I'd pick to beat him from 130-140 throughout history against him with that form of the early to mid 2000s

I would also choose the Hatton fight. I believe that was his last fight at his absolute best physically.

They knew FM would win they just thought he would box and run in fear of Gattis power and relentlessness.

You could hear poor Jim lampleys disappointment as the fight wore on constantly talking about what gatti SHOULD do to win and appealing to Roy for comments on what gatti was doing wrong. At the end Lampley was reluctantly forced to admit that no only had Mayweather won the fight but did it in the exact manner promised. A COMPLETE ANNIHILATION. Poor Merchant was left with nothing to criticize Floyd for so he just used the "so Floyd are you a paper champion now since you accused gatti of being one prior to the fight" crap.

The gatti fight was pure satisfaction for me. Not to mention I've never won as much money on a fight before or after.
"I told you he was going to get his ass whooped, on HBO."

Floyd put spite in his punches.
