You didn't merely ask a question, you laid down your case (he's Russian, he looked bad against Wlad now he's knocking guys out, etc).

If you would have merely asked a question, then that's all there would be - a question. Yet you took the time to provide your biased "evidence" as to why he MIGHT be on PEDs.

I'm just having a laugh at this point now, never mind

Since you mentioned this though, I was also one of the guys who selected not sure instead of no..

This is relevant because of something you said earlier that because more people (actually rather even) chose yes and maybe combined than no, which was the clear favourite option by the way, that this validated the accusation somewhat.

Well let me tell you why that isn't true, it's cause none of us actually know with any certainty in this day and age whether a pro boxer is on PED's or not at a given time and unless we were instrumental in administering them or privy to such knowledge of it happening, how could we?

So, without him getting busted, this would be a better explanation of how a lot of people might select not sure.

If you take those who chose no and not sure combined compared with those who chose yes.. Then it shows how this accusation was definitely not warranted.

The punch you don't see hurts you the most. Perez was lackadaisical, got turned around and left himself wide open for Povetkin's shot. Povetkin is a very accurate puncher and he's great at controlling the distance; this was just a display of his superior skills

Perhaps I worded it a bit too strongly (I will admit I did want to be a bit mischievous by adding the Wlad bit in) but the whole point of the thread was a discussion. The title is a question. The available responses for the poll are unbiased. I repeat, I also voted for not sure when I can easily have just made it not a public poll and voted for yes, if I really had an agenda.

Wlad isn't even relevant too much here - he was used as a reference point, since I have to keep repeating, as a fight which caused Povetkin to have to make changes to come again as a top contender. A Ukrainian beating a Russian so convincingly (as it will look in the stats, perhaps not in the fight with the wide scorecards and 'knockdowns') in his backyard would inevitably cause Povetkin to have to comeback strong to get the pride of his nation back.

I laid down evidence, or a few points towards my thinking of why he MIGHT be on PEDs. I don't think it's particularly biased, but I see how it would look considering this might look like a Ukraine v Russia thing.

My points are not conclusive to me though, but merely a train of thought. I've said many times innocent till proven guilty, and even if I might believe he is on PEDs, I will not 'sentence' him to such or view him definitively badly till that is proven.

            Hence I voted 'not sure'...

Many people agreed with me, so this shows this isn't some sort of agenda-driven random hate aimed at Povetkin, but a legitimate question that many people had, whether at the back or front of their minds.

YOU were one of the ones that blew it out of proportion. I'm here to talk boxing...if you believe that or not, I really don't care.

And you have some nerve Unlike you I have never defended Wlad for his clinching, and now you want to play that card ever since you got a hard-on for everything Russia

No-one is interested about his amateur pedigree here, that is completely irrelevant to this discussion.
