Do you think Povetkin is on PEDs?

He wasnt training hard in the past and was changing his trainers like every ****ing year. His chemistry with a new trainer is perfect and Ryabinsky is a great promoter, Povetkin finally got opportunity to train in mountains and hire SaC coach...
May I also use your dumbass theories? Lets start:
1. Look at Wlad!!! He is 40 years old and his shape is unbelievable for this age!!! Sure as **** he is on Peds!
2. After Brewster he didnt lose a single fight! 100% he is on PEDs
3. Wlad has a glass jaw, but last time he lost by KO was 11 years ago. This is fishy, he is on PED's!!!!Comment

I've seen it suggested.
It's only really the Perez fight which is su****ious imo, because he was known as a skilled boxer who could take a shot.
But, Povetkin looked sensational and took him out early which raises eyebrows.Comment

Well, Povetkin landed a perfect counter right hand, there is no chin in heavyweight that could take it. Btw, Perez could quit, but he didnt. Nothing su****ious about this fight.Comment

He seemed to stun him with the first right hand he threw too but I don't think he's on PEDs. I'll need to see a lot more evidence than that to believe it.
Fighting in front of the Moscow crowd is a motivator too I think, he has KO'd almost everyone he has fought there and refused to give up against Wlad.Last edited by Weebler I; 05-23-2015, 04:52 AM.Comment

You make some very good points but I'm not that worried about his power punching because, in all honesty, it's not like he is fighting world beaters. It just shows the huge gap between the top 3 guys in the division and everyone else and Wlad and the top 3 guys, it's why the heavyweight division has been dying for so long.Povetkin has become an offensive beast since his embarrassing defeat to Wlad at home. By that I mean the lack of success he had and the huge scorecards. Since then he has gone back to the drawing board, got into good shape and seems to be more focused on his career. But how can a fighter suddenly go from a decent accumulation puncher to a one-punch knockout artist, knocking fighters cold who were never KO'd before?
- Charr
- Takam
- Perez
Three solid fighters who were known for their durability and were expected to be tough fights for Povetkin. However, he has stopped all three in brutal fashion, not through accumulation but through raw power, 1 punch knockouts. No one in the division has been doing that to high level fighters, not even Wlad (mostly).
Russian athletes are known for PED scandals, and Povetkin being on the juice would not at all surprise me. I'm not saying I 100% believe he is on PEDs, but it seems anomalous to say the least. As long as he is fighting in Moscow with Ryabinsky controlling and promoting the events, he will not be caught if he is on PEDs.
What is your opinion? Is he just displaying great accuracy and skill and reaping the benefits of being in better shape? Or is something more shady going on?
Vote in the poll and discuss.
I guarantee you, if Povetkin v Wlad was to happen again, we'd see the exact same fight and the exact same result. I'd be interested in seeing Pov v Stiverne or Wilder.Comment
